Excellent introduction to Milos - An excellent tour of the island with knowledgeable explanations at every stop. The itinerary was flexible and we learnt about the full history of Milos including its industrial activity.

Unbelievable island!!! - Unbelievable island!!! Each beach is more incredible than the one before. So different of other Cyclades islands. So magic. Colorful rocks in Firiplaka, tiny beach in Papafragas with incredible wormy rocks. White moonscape in Sarakinikos which is unbeleivable!!! From that place you can have a 45’ hicking near the coast and get to Mytakas or Mytikas. Incredible sights you are not going to beleive. Is like being in other planet. From there you can take the bus back to Adamas. Lovely Adamas, calm place instead to be the main village. I recommend to stay there because you are so close of the port, the beach and the bus stop so you can visit all the beaches you want to. Something incredible to do is picking a boat to Kleftiko half or full day long. Unfortunately the wind didn’t let me to the excursion. Don’t miss this island. Is the pearl of the Cyclades. The little Kastro village is not worth it but was nice to visit it a couple of hours and have dinner there.

Worth it for the local perspective—esp if you don’t want to rent a car. - The guide was an expert in Milos history—in particular—the pirates. He was knowledgeable friendly etc. He even took us to one place we requested and a few places not in the description. However, the tour was from 10am-2pm—so four hours—not 5. I realized after that we never made it to catacombs or spent any time in Plaka (other than a quick drive through) and we missed the Venetian castle at the top as well.

Milos cats - My husband and I are visiting Milos at the moment and we are having an amazing time. It is busy enough for there to be vibe. Beaches are beautiful, the sun sets late, food has been amazing. You should try Mania, best dolmades ever. I know that the cats on the island are part of the charm but to be honest it is heartbreaking to see the state of these cats. There are so many, malnourished, most with eye infections. I have not seen one that is in good condition. Surely the municipality should step in and catch, spay and release?
