- PrimeTaxi - Transfers & Tours - We will pick you up from your hotel in Halkidiki at 07.30, and will we follow the road towards Meteora, that will take approximately 3,5-4 hours until we get there. If you like we can make a short stop at the town of Trikala, for a coffee break next to Litheos River, and afterwards we start visits the monasteries of Meteora. This wonderful tour will be completed at the picturesque villages of Kalambaka or Kastraki, where you can have optional a traditional Greek lunch! Afterwards, we will return at Halkidiki. The duration of this tours is about 10-12 hours as Meteora is approximately 350 kilometers away from Halkidiki.(depending the village)

Additional Information
Meteora was given its name in honor of St. Athanasios the Meteorite, the owner of the Great Meteoron Church. Since 1988, Meteora’s monasteries have been recognized as global heritage monuments by UNESCO. Constructed atop cliffs reaching heights of 400 meters, Meteora is viewed as one of nature’s finest works and an integral monument to Orthodoxy.
Presently, of all the historical monasteries, only 7 remain in operation, with 6 open to the public, namely:
• The Anapausa Monastery
• The Rusanu Monastery
• The “Great Meteoro” Monastery
• The Varlaam Monastery
• The Agia Triada Monastery
• The Agios Stefanos Monastery
- Please bring comfortable shoes
- The monasteries have a strict dress code: men must wear trousers and long sleeves, women must wear a long skirt. If you do turn up in shorts, trousers and skirts will be provided.

Superb. Will be back for more! - Absolutely awesome trip! Experience of the lifetime and we will go back there. Perfect weather and even rain didn’t make it worse but better as it was needed after visiting monasteries.
Whole trip was possible thanks to professional and very nice driver Dimitris.
Dimitris knew where to go. Knew how to get there and waited for us in perfect car and all Covid needed equipment.
He made this trip superb in every detail.
Great driving skills not only during dry but especially during waterfall from heaven on the way back!
Meteora Monastery it’s most beautiful place I’ve ever been to and will be back for more..view from there it’s too awesome to capture by any camera.
Made my holidays worth every penny!

The highlight of my holiday in Halkidiki - My husband and I had an excellent trip to Meteora with Prime Taxi!
Our driver Dimitri was professional, friendly and had great local knowledge. He made sure our journey was as comfortable as possible and provided us with hand wipes, water, wine and fruit! He really went above and beyond.
The drive to Meteora and back was long, but Dimitri made sure it was fun and showed us many beautiful landscapes along the way.
Please note that this tour only includes a car & driver, not a tour guide. If you want a tour of the monasteries, you’ll have to organise these separately.
I would 100% recommend the private tours with Prime Taxi.

Brill tour to Meteora - We had a very nice day. Dimitris was in time, very good English, safe drive, very knowledgeable, couldn't do enough for us. Nice touch the wine and fruits and the good quality water.
