Half Day Kefalonia tour - We thoroughly enjoyed our Kefalonia tour, thanks in large part to Dennis. He helped us to make decisions about places to visit, tailored to our needs and limitations. The van was spacious and comfortable and easily accessible for people with mobility problems. We managed to see a good part of the countryside, with Dennis giving us interesting insights about the history, mythology and geography of the place.

Excellent service - From start to finish we had the best setvice. Dionysius was super fast with responding to our query and was able to cost up a trip that suited the needs of all of us. The vehicle was 5* and our kids who usually hate long trips were wowed by the Mercedes 11 seater van which felt like luxury. Harris the driver was super helpful and patient with us. Would recommend as the best price for the best service. Will be using again!

Interesting half day tour of the island - We really enjoyed our day seeing a variety of sights around the island. The driver was particularly informative and helpful and indeed provided considerable help to my wife who has some mobility issues.

Book this tour! - We loved our excursion! The driver Alberto was amazing. Spoke excellent English, very knowledgeable and just a wonderful person! So much better than a large group tour by bus. Scenery was so beautiful and really enjoyed every stop. Suggest you provide tipping suggestions as we left unsure we did enough for Alberto and he deserved the best!

Great Way to See the Island and Sample Wine/Food! - We visited Kefalonia on a cruise. The ship’s excursions were expensive and unappealing. We hired La Rotta to take us around the island and show us the highlights. They did not disappoint. BUT WARNING! This tour is not for everyone. You must be in decent physical condition. Our guide, Dennis, did not have a great grasp of the English language. But he spoke well enough to give us the information we needed. And he was very nice. We saw everything from ancient caves and gorgeous lakes to popular beaches and quaint villages. The highlight for us was an amazing Greek wine tasting that was included in the price. If you want to have a great time and see a lot of Kefalonia in a few short hours, this is your tour. BUT: two of the top attractions involve climbing and descending many flights of stairs. Ten flights to see the ancient lake for a wonderful boat ride. Seventeen flights to visit the cave. Denis greeted us after both climbs with bottles of refreshing water. This tour is private and customizable! For example, we opted for wine tasting instead of swimming at a beach. We wanted to stop for lunch and Denis took care of it. Bottom line is they will work with you. Great tour. Just be prepared to get your steps in!

Beautiful day in Kefalonia - at our speed - We had a wonderful day - thanks to his local knowledge and contacts, our driver always made sure that we were not at the sights during peak times. For example, we were the only ones in the boat on the lake. It worked out great with our two small children - baby seat/child seat and lots of consideration.

Wonderful and magical time - We had a wonderfull time and a excelent driver. He showed us the best highlights of Kefalonia, gave us the best information of the Island and its history. - Drogarati Cave/Mellisani Lake and Myrtos beach and the photo view! Great day in Kefalonia - Harris was great taking us all over the island and showing us a great time. He was very knowledgeable about the island, its history, and culture. He spoke perfect English!

Best stop of our cruise - This tour was the highlight of our 7-day cruise. We usually travel on a budget but we decided to hire a private guide because we were worried about mobility problems at some of the bus tour spots. As a result, we went to many of the same stops as the large group tours, but instead of feeling herded and rushed, we got to choose whether to stop at each one and for how long. We almost skipped the winery, but we enjoyed the peaceful setting and beauty of the countryside so much while we were there! It still affects me each time I think of it. (The wine was good too; we bought 3 bottles to take home.) We fell in love with Kefalonia and hope to go back someday. I am sorry that I am writing this months later and have forgotten the name of our guide, because he was wonderful.

Private “driver” in Kefalonia. - Kefalonia was absolutely beautiful and serene. Listen….go first thing as early as possible to Melissani Lake and Drogarati cave otherwise it’s hours of wasted time. This tour is basically a private driver to the each of the sites. Definitely worth it to have the driver, but not a lot of ‘tour guiding’ going on if that’s what you are expecting. The Orealios winery is a must visit!
