Excellent Walking Tour - A massive thank you to Gordon, our guide, for such an interesting and enjoyable walking tour of Manchester. A true local with so many great stories about the city and its history. It really was the perfect start to our holiday. Not too far to walk either, with plenty of opportunity to sit down along the way, if needed. Thanks again, Gordon. Thoroughly recommended.

Helped get our bearings and acquainted with the city. - We had a great tour and this tour really helped get our bearings and acquainted with Manchester on my first visit to the city. The guide Ed was welcoming and excellent and I felt comfortable asking questions. The tour was a leisurely pace with lots of time to take pictures. I have used this company in other cities and would definitely recommend them.

A guide walk worth it - Very good tour. Something about history, about the modern Manchester, how it has been developing. Good duration, price, size of groups. Gordon is an excellent guide.

Great tour! - I love learning about new cities and hearing stories from around the city. This was a very informative tour around the city. We hit up a lot of the must see places. Our tour guy was amazing and you can tell how much pride he has in his city (grey bearded man who has been in Manchester area for 50 years).

Paying was worth it. - Walked with guide Gordon, a local. Small paying group of 12-14 unlike the huge "free" tours. 90 minutes and a small over-run. We're new to visiting Manchester apart from Lowry/Salford Quays, so this Central tour suited. Plenty of sights, sounds and interesting chat. Route can be seen on the website + easy to get to/from on Metro trams (very cheap) and all easily accesible, a few steps/stairs but no great hills ! Excellent free local map (+cafe) availble in Central Library (our meeting place). Initial part of the City centre (St Peter's Sq.) on a Saturday was very noisy (trams, crowds, civic demos/meetings/loudspeakers) which made the guide chat harder to listen to but we soon left that behind. Safety is mentioned but you need "eyes in the back of your head" with trams, electric cars and e bikes - so be careful. On leaving the Central squares things did quieten down but we did go at a pace which the older members occasionally found testing. We covered quite a lot of ground in the 90+ minutes as we 'circled' the city centre ending up near the Cathedral and we certainly felt like we got our money's worth. Recommended.
