Amazing History - Great tour with a great tour guide. The tower itself is one of the coolest sites in London I visited and getting so much more information from James was wonderful.

We had James as a guide... - We had James as a guide and he kept the tour very small and he was extremely knowledgeable. You could tell he loved what he was doing as he made the 3 hour tour very interesting and engaging.

Highly recommend this tour and tour guide James - James, our guide, was beyond expectations. He was extremely knowledgable and very personable. I can’t imagine how much history and information about the tower we would have missed if we hadn’t seen it with James. Great tour and very well done,

The perfect English Gentleman to guide you through the hallowed grounds - James was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the small group setting and James was a wealth of knowledge on the history of the Tower. We never felt rushed. Nice and relaxing day while learning about the history of the Tower. I strongly recommend James!

Good tour, but more geared towards adults - We went on this tour with our family of four, including our six and nine-year-old boys. Our guide James was extremely knowledgeable, but for our family it was almost too much information. Our kids had trouble paying attention, and the tour ended up going 30 minutes over, which didn’t help the attention span. In hindsight, I think we would’ve had a good experience going without a guide, and it would’ve allowed us to pick and choose the exhibits and areas of the Tower of London that we wanted to go to most. I think this tour is much more geared toward adults.

Our guide, James, was... - Our guide, James, was extremely proficient in his historical knowledge. The Tower itself was much bigger than is commonly conceived, which led to a lot of walking to capture the different highlights. My favorite was the Crown Jewels which were simply fabulous. All in all, a very good tour.

Tour cancelled with no notice! - Our tour guide called in sick, so the tour was canceled. Wasn’t notified by Viator, sent a message to the guide about 15 minutes past tour time and received no response. Called customer service only to find out the tour was off. We finally got a response from our tour guide about an hour later confirming he was ill. Would have been nice to receive a heads up prior to the long trip over to the towers.

No Call No Show Guide James - Guide James was a no call no show. Viator customer service confirmed that we will receive a refund within 5 days. Let’s hope that happens. Asked them to please do a better job vetting who is allowed on their site. Thankfully we were able to buy tickets last minute and do a self guided tour - which by the way is all that is needed for this attraction.

No show tour guide - We were really looking forward to this tour. Unfortunately James was a no show. He did not respond to messages and we were not given a heads up that the tour was canceled. Other people in the tour assisted one another with getting last minute tickets to enter The Tower of London, and we participated in the free tour offered. Just overall disappointed as we know we missed out on a great experience. Hope James is ok.

First 1 star ever. Still enjoyed the Tower of London. - Out of over 40 tours, this is the first 1 star I have left. We arrived on time, as expected and the only group there had already started the tour. I reached out to Viator and the Tour guide directly and was told to go get the tickets at the entry point and meet the guide. My son and I did just that and there was no guide to be found. I called and texted the guide to ask what does he look like and received to response. I uploaded picture proof of the event and Viator denied my claim, but, I disputed the charge (not the tickets, just the semi private part) and my CC refunded me the amount. Every tour that I have been on, the guides are easy to find, looking for their "customers". My guide responded with, there are lots of pictures of me and I should have known what he looks like. The guide has lots of great reviews so I am sure this is a moment where he just lost sight of who the customer is. Happy to share proof of everything stated.
