Eye opening! - We learned so much about MORE information about Winston Churchill that we did not know! Made all history so much more cohesive. Especially to our teen kids. Also, saw so many wonderful sites along the way we would have never seen!

Highly Recommend - Richard was a fantastic storyteller and gave us a lot of information that we didn't know about Winston Churchill and a smattering of others along the way. As he greets you, he asks what you are looking to learn and where you are from, and he caters his narrative to your needs/wants. He got us into the War Rooms easily and because he gave us so much information during the walk, we didn't get overwhelmed taking in all the information at the War Rooms. I highly recommend this private experience with him and like others have mentioned, he makes you feel as if you are walking and talking with a friend, rather than just a tour guide.

Excellent! - We certainly saw more than we would have on our own! Richard was outstanding in the art of walking and talking and we learned many things about Churchill we did not know. He also weaves in non-Churchill points of interest along the way which just adds to the fun of walking around London.

Definite tour must see - A definite must see when you visit London. So much to see and learn. We pre booked our entry online given it’s summer time and high travel time. There is a room with video feed from people who worked in the war rooms that I highly recommend

Worth every penny and more! - Richard was the highlight of our tour. He was so personable and knowledgeable and brought three hours of history to life for us and our girls (12 & 15). He had a knack of summarizing his stories so they really sank in. Highlights were walking through Mayfair, the Burlington Arcade, the cigar shop and the tailor shops. We also timed it just right and walked past the end of the changing of the guard! Churchill was brought to life but he also touched on the royals and even James Bond! Doing the walking tour beforehand really made the War Rooms so much more meaningful. Highly recommend!

Walking tour and Churchill War Rooms- fantastic! - Thorough and very much enjoyable walking history of Sir Winston Churchill- despite the rain! We were shown places that we would never had seen without the expertise of our guide- James J. Fox Cigar Merchant and Turnbull & Asser. He also showed us Dukes bar where the famous line “ shaken not stirred” originated. We ended walking tour at the Churchill War Rooms- which is not to be missed whether or not you do a private tour.
