Highlights
  • Windsor Castle - The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history.
Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world.
It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King.
Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George’s Chapel. The Castle’s State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle’s royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV.
Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.

Mel’s the best - We had a wonderful day (despite crummy weather) and would 100% recommend Mel as a tour guide. He’s funny, charming, knowledgeable and helpful. What more could you ask for? The bus was clean and comfortable and our driver, Anthony, got us everywhere quickly and safely. Windsor is spectacular, Stonehenge is a must-see for anyone into ancient history, and Oxford is a lovely town and campus rich in its own history.

Great way to spend a day outside of London. - We were a little apprehensive at the beginning of the tour due to sketchy weather. Mel, our guide, put our minds at ease immediately with his wit, charm, and incredible depth of knowledge He kept the tour interesting even while we were waiting in line for the attractions with his facts and stories about what we were about to see. Fantastic recall of knowledge with hints of humor intertwined. The twelve hour tour flew by. Our driver Anthony was also fantastic. I highly recommend both.

Magnificent tour! - Awesome tour guide Rowan and Driver Sam. Great tour but a bit rushed due to a super long cue at Windsor suggest avoiding Thursdays. Excellent Tour Guide. Rowan was Great. Places are magnificent. Don’t forget to ask for large groups to stay together.
