The Tower of London is one of the British Capital’s most iconic monuments, and one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. It stands proudly on the banks of the River Thames, and, dating back to the 11th century, was originally built as a royal palace and residence by William the Conqueror following the Norman conquest of England. Your Blue Badge Guide will meet you next to the entrance to the Tower of London, and then you will begin your discovery of this 900-year-old fortress. The complex is the only castle in the city of London, and is famous for holding the crown jewels as well as housing many celebrated and notorious prisoners.

Excellent tour at the Tower - Our guide was called Lucy. She is brilliant. So great that I specifically asked for her as she was my tour guide last September for other family visiting from the USA. She’s friendly, fun, knowledgeable and was great with the 6 year old in our party. You can’t go wrong booking this tour. Well worth the money.

The best tour of London!! - This is a must for anyone trying to see the city on your own. By far our favorite tour and Anthony our tour guide was fabulous! He took us to see so much, we had requested to visit Abby Road which he immediately said “let’s go” we even got to visit the gift shop. Informative and easy, honestly do it, you won’t regret it!

Not worth it - We had so looked forward to this tour. The Tower of London and all its history. Our guide was really very nice and informative as to the very basic history, however nothing terribly unique or any insider stories. The guide said he was not allowed to go inside (The Crown Jewels, Armoury, etc.) to explain what we were seeing, which left us hanging, so to speak. It only lasted about an hour and a half, which was very disappointing. We had a comparable tour of Hampton Court with a tour guide that went everywhere with us and explained everything at a quarter of the cost. For the price we paid for the Tower tour, we expected so much more! Definitely NOT worth it. Don't waste your money!
