- EC4A 2DQ - This Workshop is a unique photography experience.
Participants should expect a solid day (from 10.00 am to 5.00pm) of shooting, lectures, critiquing, discussing and breathing photography with Cyrus and Marc at their rooms and on the streets around Fleet Street, London.
We’ll spend time going through your photographs, sent in the night before, discussing what’s good in them and offering gentle advice.
We’ll talk about how to safely photograph strangers, something most of our students have never done before.
We’ll also cover composition, the importance of the subject and how to give pictures impact using light and colour.
During the workshop you’ll be sent out on assignments to shoot people. There will be more criticism of your work. You will be forced to look at our work (criticism of our is optional). There will be talks to help you avoid the problems that plague you.
You’ll be nagged into improving your images. There won’t be enough time to do all the shooting, editing, critiquing, talking, and looking at our work that you’ll want to do. You will be overwhelmed.
At the end of the day you will be better than most other “street photographers” you watch on Youtube.

Our teaching approach does not follow the typical model of gathering at a statue in Trafalgar Square and being corralled through the London streets before returning home.
What sets our class apart is that we begin with several hours in a peaceful environment, carefully analyzing the photos you’ve provided us from the previous day. We then guide you to picture strangers, utilize composition and light effectively, and discuss the shots you take during the day.
This intensive one-day class is hosted in our workspace on Fleet Street in London, where you can conveniently view the content, comprising your own snaps, on a cutting-edge 4K projector.
