Additional Information

Join me on a thrilling exploration of London’s distinctive Rock and Roll legacy, traversing the paths of the Beatles to the Stones, and from Queen to Ziggy Stardust. We will visit spots where iconic rock bands performed their inaugural shows and where a famous rock idol embarked on his final voyage to the ethereal Great Gig in the Sky. I will introduce you to where the Sex Pistols and the Beatles marked their first and last concerts, respectively. Our journey includes a stop at Denmark Street, London’s celebrated ‘Tin Pan Alley’. We will discover the place the Rolling Stones innovatively used egg boxes for sound insulation and where the renowned Reginald Dwight, known as Elton John, was employed in a mail room for a weekly wage of £4. Our voyage brings us to Carnaby Street, a fashion hub for the trend-chasing crowds. We will witness the place where Ziggy Stardust made his ascent and descent. We will then take a brief tube ride to St Johns Wood for a photo opportunity on the well-known Abbey Road Crossing, viewing the site of Abbey Road studios and inscribing a message on its infamous wall.

A fab tour being whisked back in time! - Grant was waiting for us at the advertised location even though we arrived early. Not to give too much away, we relived the London rock n roll scene by visiting many iconic locations. Grant shared his knowledge and passion for music generally and I would definitely recommend this tour to aficionados of 60’s/70’s & 80’s. Also to say it’s great to walk and get absorbed into a great part of London without worrying about getting lost!

The London Rock & Roll Tour You Don’t Want To Miss! - This was an outstanding walking tour! Our tour guide Glen was very knowledgeable and he took us through various areas including China Town, Soho, and several other key streets we had planned to see separately. We ended the day with pictures and a video of us crossing Abbey Road, like The Beatles. He also provided us recommendations on restaurants and other things to do. Thank you Glenn for the GREAT tour!

Amazing Rock Stars Tour - Our friends lost the tour because they couldn't find the meeting point and Grant very kindly refunded us the money. Always trying to make us have a great time, my 16-year-old son was fascinated. Thank you Grant!
