Awesome - Very fun and informative tour. Our tour guide, Mick, was clearly very knowledgeable and personable. The videos and photos he showed really helped to show the depravity that Jack the Rippper had for his victims. Would highly recommend

Jack the Ripper With Ripper-Vision, Theatrics and a Safety Issue - We recently returned from London where we took a Jack the Ripper Tour with "Ripper-Vision." There are a few points worth noting about the tour: • Numbers--this was a large tour in terms of headcount (~20+ people). This wasn't a problem for my family but worth noting if you prefer a smaller experience. It wasn’t possible to ask individual questions of the tour guide, for example. Several other tour companies we passed who were also doing Jack the Ripper tours, made note of our numbers. • Highly Theatrical, Not Necessarily in a Good Way--The tour felt less factual and more like a West End production. There was a well-rehearsed narrative, right down to sound effects, jokes, projected photos, cliffhangers, etc. all delivered by the tour guide who modulated his voice to punctuate points. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but grew old and felt very canned. • Safety Issue--The tour concluded in a dark alleyway, not a main street, after which our tour guide left, leaving us lost and uncomfortable. Not sure if this was intentional but it felt unsafe and poorly considered for tourists. Strongly recommend the tour reconsider it.

Jack Meh Ripper - It wasn’t that interesting. Didn’t hear anything that was already publicly known. What took 2 hours, could have been better done in 30 minutes. Ripper Vision was our guide holding a cheap mini projector that showed us wobbly pictures on random walls. To finish on a good note, our guide was nice and took the job seriously.

Disappointed - Having been on several Jack the Ripper tours before, all of which were fantastic, I had high expectations for this one - especially since my mum specifically wanted to see the much-advertised “Ripper Vision”. Unfortunately, this tour was a massive let-down. The walking felt endless with very few stops, and when we did stop, Mick, our guide, spent more time doing a comedic thumbs act and then rambling about other series killers, most notably Ted Bundy than actually setting the scene for 1888 Whitechapel. His forced, put-on actor voice made everything sound so disingenuous, and rather than immersing us in the dark atmosphere of the case, it just felt like we were listening to someone trying too hard to perform. The Ripper Vision itself was the best part, but even that was let down by the fact that Mick held it so shakily it was hard to focus on. One of the only highlights was when we stopped at Mitre Square, probably the best part of the tour - because, for some reason, Mick seemed to forget the put-on voice and actually spoke more naturally. In that moment, he was far more engaging, and if he had been like that throughout, it would have been a much more enjoyable experience. We also stopped at the same location twice, once mid-end tour and again at the very end where Mick used this time promoting his medieval tour the next day and then trying to sell his tour guide, and then his book. It felt more like a sales pitch than a historical experience and we felt uncomfortable with this. I genuinely regret not taking my mum on one of the previous tours I’ve done. Those were immersive, atmospheric, and filled with engaging storytelling. This one was a huge disappointment. Would not recommend.

Not good - I expected dark alleys and stories. I got office blocks and a projector. Could be so so much better. Didn't even go to the alley by the White Hart.... which is where the "tour" started.

Disappointing - Pretty disappointing tour. The "ripper vision" consists of a small number of pictures projected against walls and soffits of buildings. It's a very small part of the tour itself. The story telling is quite fragmented, jumping from one victim to the other. Didn't really learn a great deal about Jack the Ripper at all. There were many other similar tours being held at the same time, some of which appeared to have more detail and more skilled storytellers when describing the victims and murders. Our guide was a little monotone and created no atmosphere. Overall pretty underwhelmed and wouldn't recommend.

Save your Money and spend your time more wisely. - Please don't waste your money on this tour. It lacks any kind of interest or atmosphere and mixed with the noise of the traffic and all of the other tours going on you can't hear the guy most on the time. He also looked and sounded like he'd just woken up and was spouting facts of Ted Bundy, DNA and nucleus! I think my party expected a story regarding Jack The Ripper considering...... Suffice so say we left the tour about two thirds of the way around because we felt we were wasting valuable time listening (or trying to) to waffle. I'm sure the owner will reply, like he has with all of the other negative reviews, that I must be talking about another tour but trust me I followed the link Trip Advisor emailed me. Please save your money and maybe buy the book as there won't be any atmosphere if you're thinking that like we were. Total waste of money!

Terrible, waste of money - Disappointed, the guide didn’t appear to give much more deal then you could read from The guide book. He wasn’t engaging. There was about 30 on our tour, no one asked questions so I suspect they all felt the same. The tour was about 1.5 hours, it was so bad, we left half way through as we felt like we were using valuable time that could have been used on seeing the sights

Do NOT GO on ANY Ripper tour!! - I wouldn't recommend anyone go on a Jack The Ripper tour, period. The places tied to this history no longer exist (except one pub). Our tour guide was fantastic, but "Rippervision" is just (when it is dark enough - meaning - last 20 minutes) the same photos our guide had in a binder. There were FAR too many people on the tour as well. But there were at least 6 different "Ripper" guides doing their thing, and there is literally NOTHING to see. I just can't recommend any Ripper tour. Want to do a night or ghost tour? Go do one of those. And Ripper tour isn't worth it.

Do not bother - Save your money. We left after seeing the yet another area where a victim lived but was now a modern building. The ripper vision is just photos from any ripper book projected small and shaking on random walls and ceilings amongst large crowd. Find original smaller tour with ripperologist.
