Starting our adventure at ‘Fresh Bake’ shop within the South Kensington Station Arcade, situated at South Kensington underground station, we’ll be headed straight to Beit Quadrangle, the venue Queen selected for their debut London performance in 1970. We shall take a stroll past the illustrious Royal Albert Hall, the site where Freddie stole the hearts of many during Fashion Aid. We’ll glimpse the former Kensington Market, where Freddie and Roger operated a stall. Gradually, we’ll move on to the previous location of the legendary BIBA clothing store, which was frequented by a love-sick Freddie seeking Mary, an employee there.
We’ll look at the apartment block where Freddie and Mary began their cohabitation, coupled with a range of locations associated with the initial days of Smile and Queen. Our journey will proceed towards Garden Lodge, Freddie’s residential sanctuary in the city. Exciting anecdotes about Freddie’s experiences at this location will be shared.
