Additional Information

Starting our adventure at ‘Fresh Bake’ shop within the South Kensington Station Arcade, situated at South Kensington underground station, we’ll be headed straight to Beit Quadrangle, the venue Queen selected for their debut London performance in 1970. We shall take a stroll past the illustrious Royal Albert Hall, the site where Freddie stole the hearts of many during Fashion Aid. We’ll glimpse the former Kensington Market, where Freddie and Roger operated a stall. Gradually, we’ll move on to the previous location of the legendary BIBA clothing store, which was frequented by a love-sick Freddie seeking Mary, an employee there.

We’ll look at the apartment block where Freddie and Mary began their cohabitation, coupled with a range of locations associated with the initial days of Smile and Queen. Our journey will proceed towards Garden Lodge, Freddie’s residential sanctuary in the city. Exciting anecdotes about Freddie’s experiences at this location will be shared.

Great tour to walk the same streets as Queen! - This is a must for all hardcore Queen fans as you get a real insight into how it all began. From where they studied.. how they met.. where they lived and worked.. incredibly interesting and well thought out. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And you get to meet lovely people on the tour with you, from all over the world. Grant is always ready to answer any questions and walks at the perfect pace.. very important on a walking tour !. Highly recommended for Queen fans.

A must for Queen fans - This is the second time I have done this tour and unlikely to be the last ! I absolutely love it ! I am a die hard fan of Queen and to go to places that the band have played , lived or worked and in some cases still remain , is for me , a kind of magic ! Grants knowledge about the band and their history is so expansive that second time around I learnt more ! And I already think I know a lot :) it also really brings the tour to life because he has so much history and is a huge fan himself ! Plus Grants a really nice guy ☺️ highly recommend this genuine first class tour and guide 👍🏼

A Magic Tour - This tour is a must for any Queen fan while visiting London. Grant was a very knowledgeable tour guide and clearly a big fan of Queen. You get to see places the band studied, early gigs, places they use to party and pubs they visited over the years and of course Garden Lodge. As a big Queen fan myself I really enjoyed this tour!

Wonderful - It was wonderful, Grant is a very nice man and knows a lot about Queen/Freddie. It's nice it's a walking tour, you see a lot! My friend Anita and I loved it. We were alone with Grant, so we had a "private" tour😁

A must for Queen fans - Grant was very knowledgeable & he obviously loves what he does We learnt loads from him & had the opportunity to ask questions. He made time to talk to all the group & gave us all time to take the photos we wanted. Highlight was ending up at Garden Lodge, Freddie`s former home Highly recommended
