Great way to spend a winter’s evening - The tour guide was very knowledgeable, funny and courteous. We saw and learned about places in London we otherwise would have overlooked. It was a very entertaining and atmospheric experience

Passionate, entertaining, engaging with a great voice which no-one should struggle to hear. The tour is based on many years of Richard's own research and writing, so there is an integrity and commitment to the stories of the area. Couldn't recommend Richard's tour any more highly ... and I can't wait to join him again for some more of his tours in the future 😊👍🏽

Great Ghost Walk in London. - This is one of the best Ghost Walks I have been on. It was absolutely pouring with rain, but the history and the ghost stories kept me so entertained that it didn't matter. Excellent guide, who knew his stuff and added fantastic humor into the mix. Great night, great price and well worth the money.

Entertaining and unforgettable - We booked this tour after going on the Jack the Ripper tour last year. We knew from our experience it would be good, and it didn't disappoint. We were taken down little alleyways and backstreets in the city that we never would have found on our own. Great spooky atmosphere, it was just growing dark when we met at 7pm. Richard was a great entertainer and we loved the historic tales. We could hear him clearly as we were in areas with little traffic or other people. Great way to spend an evening. Next on my to-do list is the Dickens walk!

Amazing Ghost Walk! - Absolutely incredible ghost walk! We've been on several walks in different cities and this was the best one yet!! The host was superb!

Fantastic Ghost Tour of London - Twenty six years ago, I took an amazing ghost tour with two friends that I still remember to this day because of the tour guide Richard Jones. When planning our current trip to London, I swore we HAD to book another one. On Saturday we took Richard’s Alleyways and Shadows tour. Two decades later, I had the same amazing experience with ghostly delights, humor, showmanship, and expert storytelling just with new stories and locations. From odd smelling streets to Christmas dinners with the descendants of Charles Dickens, he regaled us with stories of London’s past and present. I would recommend any tour Richard offers highly. Along those notes, I selected a Jack the Ripper tour from Richard’s site as well. I was a touch disappointed when we found out we wouldn’t have Richard that night. No worries at all! We met Jeremy who is also a fantastic storyteller/entertainer. Richard may have an up and coming challenger for the title of best tour guide in London. Jeremy is a prodigy! Fun ghost walk - Richard was fantastic, such a good storyteller. This was a really fun way to learn about some of London’s history and to hear some interesting ghost stories. I would recommend this and look forward to another tour during a future visit.

Victorian and spooky - Charismatic group leader, very Victorian. We loved it and were impressed by his knowledge. We enjoyed all the spooky alleyways and seeing parts of London that we weren't aware of.

Terrific. Unmissable - We treat ourselves to one of Richard's walks whenever we visit London. He is unique - engaging, deeply knowledgeable and passionate about London, a fine and moving actor, an historian, a funny and marvellous raconteur. We worked in the City for 10 years and didn't discover those secret wonderful alleyways where true old London is found, which Richard knows intimately. He is eager to share his fount of knowledge and fund of anecdotes and tales in a tremendously enjoyable and fascinating tour. Please treat yourself to the joy of Richard's tour.
