This is an amazing and completely unique tour where you’ll be encouraged to notice the small details hidden along the alleyways and courtyards of the ancient city of London.
Your expert guide will take you to some of the more atmospheric locations in London, where you’ll discover old pubs and even older churches, market places and medieval and even roman remains.
We don’t want to reveal all the secrets to be found on this walk, but just as a taster, you’ll find the location of the first coffee house in London, the remains of the medieval London Bridge, a piece of Victorian street art and the shell of a church destroyed during the Blitz.

Great tour for first timers in London! - Jess was a fantastic guide and we loved all the hidden gems that he shared with us! Especially loved the coffee house stories. The ending spot in the garden of the St. Dunstan Church was absolutely perfect.

Interesting and different - Very interesting tour of older London sites and curiosities off the beaten track. The guide was very interesting and engaging with lots of facts and anecdotes about the area.

Fun tour to see the the "forgotten" places - Great tour! If you want to see the parts of the city that many people, including Londoners, don't know, take this tour! Lots of great historical information with fun trivia. The guide is friendly, knowledgeable, and gives a great tour. We all really enjoyed it

Easy walking, interesting places - Matt is an excellent guide. From meeting up outside Canon Street tube station on a Sunday afternoon, to saying goodbye at St Dunstans he was knowledgeable, informative and fun. A lovely mixed group of people, who mixed and chatted as we discovered alleys in het square mile that you may have walked past every day.

Fun and informative . - Really interesting and well presented by Matt. Found out stuff I never knew about London.
Sunday is a good day for the tour as the area is much quieter than midweek.

Some of London's secrets revealed. - My son and I really enjoyed Matt's informative and amusing commentary on this tour, which took us to places which we would otherwise never have known existed. There was a good mix of new and old buildings and environments included. Matt clearly loves London and sharing his passion with his guests. Great way to spend an hour and a half. Will almost certainly book another tour in future.

Super fun and interesting afternoon. I am hooked. - Me and my partner had a lovely afternoon visiting the alleyways and courtyards with Matt. Matt’s passion and live of London shines through making the experience both super interesting and fun. When we had finished the tour we made our way to The Hung Drawn and Quartered pub, and enjoyed a delicious pie. Perfect

Best ever tour guide - Not really accustomed to writing reviews but we did a family trip to London having received a gift token for Christmas in 2019. Matt is clearly a very experienced tour guide and included in his very informative talk a request to give a review along the lines, Matt is the best tour guide ever. Can't argue with that.
