- St Botolph’s Aldgate - The tour begins outside St Botolph’s Church, historically referred to as the Prostitutes Church due to the solicitation that occurred on the island where it was located.
- Aldgate Square - The journey continues to the square adjacent to the church, where a vivid depiction of life in the impoverished and overcrowded Whitechapel of 1888 is provided, highlighting the squalor, crime, and hardships faced by those living in poverty.
- Mitre Street - At Mitre Sq/St, just within the City boundary, the focus is on Elizabeth Stride (Long Liz), the first victim killed by Jack the Ripper during the double event night. The tour then moves a short distance to discuss the murder of Catherine Eddowes, who was killed just 45 minutes later at this location.
- Petticoat Lane Market - Now known as Middlesex St, this area marks the boundary between the City of London and the Metropolitan area, a significant distinction due to the separate police forces operating in these regions.
- Goulston Street - The tour proceeds to the doorway where the only clue was discovered, following the same path the police took that night in pursuit of Jack the Ripper.
- Gunthorpe Street - From Wentworth St, the tour views Gunthorpe St, looking towards the site where Martha Tabram was murdered on August 7, 1888, in George Yard Buildings. She is now considered a likely first victim of Jack the Ripper.
- Thrawl Street - The tour continues to Brick Lane, stopping opposite the Frying Pan Pub on the corner of Thrawl St, where Mary Ann Nichols had her last drink before being murdered by Jack in Bucks Row, behind Whitechapel Station.
- Hanbury Street - The tour proceeds up Brick Lane, turning left into Hanbury Street, where Annie Chapman was murdered in the backyard of 29 Hanbury St.
- Wilkes Street - The tour turns into Wilkes St, a street preserved since the 1800s, and heads to Puma Court to hear about the Dear Boss letter.
- The Ten Bells - The tour stops opposite the Ten Bells, Mary Kelly’s favorite pub, and also views Christchurch Graveyard, known as Itchy Park, where the homeless would sleep during the day.
- Old Spitalfields Market - Opposite the market is the London Fruit & Wool Exchange, where the tour pauses at the entrance to discuss the letter sent to George Lusk, head of the Whitechapel Vigilance Group.
- London Fruit Exchange - In the square behind the London Fruit & Wool Exchange, the tour concludes with the murder of Mary Kelly, Jack’s last victim, killed on November 9, 1888. From here, it is a 5-minute walk to Liverpool St Station, offering a choice of tube train lines.

Take the private tour, it is worth it! - This was my kids (18 and 21) first trip to London, so what the kids want, the kids get. I am just glad they didnt ask for the Crown Jewels. This tour was my daughters idea, she is the family fan of all things macabre and horror. My wife went the extra mile and booked it as a private tour, just the four of us. I was skeptical, expecting a great deal of cheese, etc. That is not at all what we got. As we waited for our tour to start, I saw a lady about our age walk up, dressed as if she had just stepped out of the 1880's. Well, if they had Apple tablets in the 1880's, LOL. That was Jenny, our guide. Y'all, she was absolutely perfect! She knew her stuff forward and back. She showed us photographs of the area during Jacks reign of terror, so we could get an idea of how the area looked 150 years ago. She explained the social and economic makeup of the Whitechapel area at that time. I learned a great deal about the people who lived in the area. She was detailed about Jacks victims, her words drawing a picture of how they might have looked before Jack had his way with them. She was also very knowledgeable about current things in the city, from restaurants, to the churches and the people. It was evident that she is a well known and popular member of the community, as she was greeted every other block by name. She also answered all our questions and shared some of her opinions about Jack and his real identity. I had the sense that she could sit down with you over a pint at 5 in the afternoon and still be talking about Jack at 5 the next morning...well, I guess that would depend on how many pints you had. If you have the chance to take this tour with Jenny Philips, jump at it. I would do it again tomorrow....if I were in London!

Lindsey’s Jack the Ripper Tour - Lindsey is a passionate historian who goes to great lengths with her knowledge of late 18th century East London to set the scene and get you to appreciate what it was like back then. She included some famous streets and period landmark buildings which made it all very interesting. She has a great sense of humour and a lot of respect for the victims when recounting the gruesome murder details. Her tour comes highly recommended.

Memorable and Informative Tour - I recently read Patricia Cornwell’s book about Jack the Ripper, which inspired me to take a tour guided by Serena. The experience was exceptional! Serena was incredibly informative and captivating, weaving the chilling story of Jack the Ripper seamlessly with London’s rich history. Her storytelling brought the city’s past to life, making the entire tour both engaging and memorable. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Serena—highly recommended!

Great Tour! We totally recommend it - Serena was absolutely amazing! Her tour was the perfect mix of informative and engaging—even when covering such dark and tragic events. Through the chilling tale of Jack the Ripper and his victims, we also uncovered fascinating historical insights about London. The 2.5 hours flew by, and not once did we feel bored, despite the biting cold in London’s streets. Serena’s passion and storytelling kept us captivated from start to finish!

Really good, informed guide that clearly new her stuff. - I did this Ripper tour with my two teenage sons. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Really good guide, small group, lots of time for questions. We saw some other tours with way too many people on them that made us think we were lucky. I mean, why keep taking more and more bookings for a tour to the point that you aren't going to hear your guide you will be so far back. She had a full size tablet too to show images on (maybe a 14 " screen) and that was good

Great time spent stepping back in time with fantastic insight from an expert and ace storyteller in her field - Exceeded expectations. Such an authoritative guide with almost too much detail which left no stone unturned, apart of course who Jack was?

An informative and engaging Tour - We enjoyed the tour, visiting the different sites and the guide was very knowledgeable and personable with a good sense of humour. There was a good mixture of detail about the murders and investigation as well as bringing this into the context of the lives of the individuals and of the wider populace in 1880s Whitechapel - aided by the showing of contemporary images on a large tablet. We were particularly interested in the information given about the buildings in the area that still exist which they would have known and frequented.
The group was quite large - about 25 people and it was a busy Saturday night with lots of raucousness and traffic noise which unfortunately did make it quite difficult to hear at times and the mini sound system didn't seem to function too well but overall this did not detract too much from the experience.
