Aldwych wow! Fantastic experience for any Prodigy fan - My girlfriend bought the tickets for this as a Christmas present and what a present it was! The place was a little difficult to find due to Aldwych having closed in 94 but after a bit more Googling and asking people we found the entrance. We was greeted by Ethan and Evie who were great tour guides who offered a lot interesting info about the place. Very much steeped in history from the war and also how it was built, it's quirks and it's struggles due to low passenger numbers. Myself and my girlfriend are huge Prodigy fans so we took some great snaps where the video for Firestarter was filmed, it felt great walking in the same footsteps as the band. All in all a fantastic experience was had! Only slight gripe was the 160 steps down and up to the platforms but due to the old lifts not working you only had one choice to use the stairs. Want to thank the tour guides for the day it was brilliant.

Excellent hidden London tour! - One of the best tours I have been on. We got to see areas of the station which are long disused and hidden from the public. It was well organised and the tour guides were excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour and we will certainly be going on further tours.

Hidden London tour - The London Transport Museum offers "Hidden London" tours to disused parts of the Underground system. I booked my tour on the day tickets became available and secured the last ticket for my tour of "Holborn: The Secret Platforms". Holborn is an interchange between the Central Line and the Piccadilly Line. Each line has two platforms. There used to be a Piccadilly Line shuttle between Holborn and Aldwych, but that shuttle stopped running in 1994. The tour focused on the platforms used by the Aldwych shuttle. We saw the running tunnel to Aldwych. Trains only ran at peak hours. At other times, the station was used for filming. "New Song" by Howard Jones was filmed at Holborn. As a transport enthusiast, I love LTM's Hidden London tours. A short time after the tour, you are sent an informative booklet via email. Highly recommended.

Ticket price too High - Can't fault the guides, and it was quite interesting. But, we both agree, it's not worth £45 / ticket. In my veiw a reasonable face value would be £25/ 30 max

Don't waste your money - Mildly interesting. The tour guides were very good and informative but the platforms were less than impressive. I expected more of a time capsule experience but I may as well have been on an older platform in the network. The history of it is interesting. £45 per ticket is completely taking the mick. I would say £25 would be appropriate but still extortionate. I have added the best pics to save you money
