A great day exploring English wines - Fantastic day visiting 3 lovely wineries, each excellent in their own way. Brian, the guide, was knowledgeable and friendly. Being on a small tour made being by myself easier as people mingled.

A really informative and educational day out. - Had a brilliant time on this tour. Given that I'm not really a wine drinker it was really nice to experience UK and local wines. Also to learn about the processes and concerns regarding producing wine in the UK. Really informative. My wife who is a wine drinker also really enjoyed it. Justin the tour guide was an excellent host and guide. Nice picnic lunch also.

Delightful day out - A comfortable, well organised day that was both interesting and very enjoyable. The knowledgeable and entertaining host, Martin, made the journey to the first vineyard fly by with his history of English wine and other anecdotes. The tastings were very well tutored but also very light hearted and we were able to explore a wide variety of English wine. We were lucky with the weather and an excellent pick-nick lunch under the trees at Chapel Down was delightful.

Highly Recommended - We had a great tour, visiting a small producer, a large producer and a boutique estate with Justin. All of the wines we tasted were very good. Justin was great fun and very knowledgeable, teaching us a lot about English wine and the areas we visited. Nicola and Justin produced a lovely picnic for us at lunch which was tailored to our dietary requirements. I've recommended the tour to a few friends already.

Just a perfect day... - My mum and I enjoyed a splendid day with Justin and Nicola and 16 other folk interested in tasting English wines. Justin’s potted history of English wine needs to become a Ted talk. Just brilliant. 14 wines tasted across Charles Palmer, Chapel Down and Woodchurch vineyards. A delicious and generous picnic lunch (special mention for Nicolas home made quiche made with her hens eggs). A joyous and informative day out. Much care taken to deliver a lovely unrushed experience that can be enjoyed just as much by those who know about wine as those who don’t. Highly recommend.

Lovely wine country outing - We were planning a trip of just over a week to London and in searching for day excursions we came across wine tasting tours. We were intrigued as we had no prior knowledge of any wine industry in England. We had a lovely day trip out to wine country. Justin, our guide, was very knowledgeable and engaging and willing to answer our many questions. He has clearly worked hard to establish a rapport with the wineries we visited. There were three unique wineries that welcomed us and a classic pub lunch in between visits. Although the wine industry there is still young and growing, we were pleasantly impressed by the quality of the wines we tasted, especially some of the sparkling wines. It was overall a very enjoyable day. Justin mentioned that he also does gin tours and wine and cheese tasting tours, so we're hoping to be able to return someday to try one of these.

Wines around the world - Justin was a great tour guide. We rode with him from London and chatted the entire ride to and fro. He has a wealth of knowledge about wine and the region. The wineries were great. All the hosts/ pourers were very nice. There was no pressure to buy bottles which was good since traveling with wine is difficult. The tour provides different size and types of wines (red, white, sparkling) and wineries (large and small). I really recommend this tour!

Well worth a visit - Visited Chapel Down for a wine tour and tasting, which was given to us as a present. A warm welcome from the staff on reception before we were introduced to Russell our tour guide and wine expert. Whilst the weather, which was excellent, certainly helped, the Vineyard is beautifully set out, well stocked shop, nice outdoor seating and dining area, restuarant (we didn't visit) and extensive grounds. Russell showed us around the vineyard, which featured a detailed review of the various vines on the site, a trip to all the wine preparation rooms and the wine tasting room. We were given the opportunity to taste 5 wines, which incuded sparkling wines. Russell, clearly knew his wines and delivered a enjoyable and light-hearted review, which seemed to be enjoyed by all. The two hour trip passed very quicky and was throughly enjoyable. I would say that a video in the pressinfg room to show how the wine is actually pressed would be a interesting addition and would bring the process to life, certainly not a negative but would help the guests understnd the journey of wine making. Well worth a visit, leave the car at home on a sunny day and enjoy the grounds with a couple of glasses after the tasting.
