A glimpse of Nature - Truly an experience to remember! Mat has a vast knowledge about the environment and La Guadeloupe in general that he shared with the group. The trail was absolutely beautiful and we all were being taken care of very well. Would absolutely recommend it.

Really fun activity - Really lovely being on the water and learning about how important red mango tree is for Guadeloupe’s ecosystem. Matthew was a patient guide having to explain to some of the group in French and then us in English which we appreciated. I was nervous about trying stand up paddling for the first time but Matthew is a great teacher. Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet in, put on lots of sunscreen and bug spray before you leave as once on the water you shouldn’t carry anything. A sunglasses string thing for your neck would have been a good idea. We wore our water shoes but most went barefoot.

Highlight of our trip! - I can't say enough about the SUP outing we had with Get up Stand up. They were super helpful instructive for one family member who had never been on a paddleboard before, and they made sure everyone was safe and happy. Matt's English is excellent, and he did a beautiful job explaining about the ecosystem we were visiting. They even took cute pictures of us, since we were hesitant to bring cameras on our boards. DO IT!

enjoyable morning out - The guide, Matheiu, was friendly and helpful. The paddle boarding was challenging enough so that I felt a accomplished afterwards, but it was not very hard. We went on a nice circuit through the mangroves and enjoyed a break on a tiny beach.

Super recommendable experience! - I did with my partner a stand-up paddle trip through the mangroves in Guadeloupe and the experience was just wonderful! The owner Matthew not only taught us how to do the paddle itself, but also told us a lot of very interesting facts about the island, its origins, the mangroves, the wildlife etc. For those who do not speak Frech like me, it was also great to know he speaks perfect English, so it's very easy to follow along. I totally recommend this experience to learn more about Guadeloupe!

Unforgettable and unique trip - My husband and I had a fantastic morning with Mat. We’ve never tried SUP before and we’ve found that we’re awful at surfing so I was a little nervous, but Mat was very reassuring and patient and I’m pleased to say we didn’t fall in. I was also worried about carrying a heavy board as I’m petite and I’ve struggled with this surfing but Mat made sure I had a light board. Our group was of 4, us and a French couple, and this was the ideal size. Mat carefully explained everything in French and English, and as well as teaching is how to SUP, he told us about local geography and ecology. I really appreciated talking about the importance of the mangrove ecosystem and how human activity must change to protect it. My favourite part of the trip was sitting on the boards serenely paddling along mangrove rivers under the canopy - I only regret not bringing my GoPro to capture this beautiful scene but Mat took photos to share. One of my favourite experiences in three weeks exploring Guadeloupe and Dominica!

Great SUP for even a novice! - My husband and I had never done stand up paddle but Matt made it easy. After a quick demo and his helpful hints we were headed to the mangroves like pros. It was a real plus for us that he speaks English as well as French, so that we could learn about the mangroves and ecological information about the island as well. It was easily my favorite vacation activity during our stay in Guadeloupe! I highly recommend it.
