Tanya is the guide you want and need for the Alhambra - This was my second guided tour of the Alhambra. And by far the best. Tanya is a consummate guide and if you book this tour consider yourself very lucky. As an art historian she will bring to your tour information no other guide will bring. You will understand the art, the architecture, and the history that is the Alhambra. It will be the most rewarding 3 hours you will spend, and you will walk away more knowledgeable than any other person visiting this UNESCO site.

Katya brought the Alhambra to life... - We booked Katya's Alhambra Mystery Tours for a private guided day tour, and it was wonderful. Over the course of a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Katya accompanied us through the entire Alhambra complex, as well as Generalife. Our separate reviews of each component of the complex can be found under their respective listings of Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, Palacio El Partal, Palace of Carlos V and Generalife. We frequently rely upon both private and group guides when visiting attractions worldwide. While I tend to become bored by too many superfluous details, my spouse can never get enough. A very special private tour - My 13 year old daughter and I booked a private tour of the Alhambra with Katya during Semana Santa and it was one of the best days of our trip to Spain. First, when we discovered that tickets to the Alhambra were sold out, Katya helped us discover that we could access most of the complex using the Granada Pass. So, were it not for her, we would have missed the Alhambra all together. Once we met, Katya was exceptionally warm and informative throughout our visit. She brought her adorable puppy, Boris, which was a very special treat for my daughter. An art historian, she gave wonderful explanations and stories throughout. We also were able to enjoy the complex and never felt rushed. I would highly recommend Katya to everyone.

Katya unlocks the Alhambra in the time of the Moors - Katya provided cultural and architectural details that really put the rich history of Alhambra and all of Andalusia Spain in context. She explained the conflict as well as the coexistence of the Moors and the Castillians. She unlocked the brilliance of the windows, arches and columned walkways by asking me to bend down to see the perspective of the Moors, who typically sat on cushions on the floor. All in all, a fabulous tour. I hired Katya for a private tour. I really recommend her for a couple or family group! She is pursuing a Master's degree in cultural studies, and her knowledge shows in her descriptions of Alhambra.

Outstanding Communicator and Conscientious Guide - I was excited to go to visit Alhambra in October 2023 with Katya. Her communication was prompt, thorough, and clear, giving us an exceptionally clear idea about what to expect. It is clear she is very knowledgeable and conscientious and cares about her clients. Time travel at Alhambra - Exceptional tour. We weren’t planning on hiring a guide but I’m glad our hotel’s concierge recommended Katya so earnestly. Her passion for art is contagious and we experienced so many aspects of the site we would have completely overlooked if we had visited on our own. Excellent guide, much better than a group option - We booked this tour with Katya. The tour was done in English but Katya speaks many other languages. We liked her approach and appreciated details that otherwise we would have never known. She was very accommodating to us and adjusted as we went along. We have travelled a lot and had lots of private guides but Katya was by far one of the better ones and we came out of this experience with significant more knowledge of this amazing place Btw. The other tours that claim slip the line as one of the benefits is all BS. There is no such thing as skip the line. You do have a line if you go with a tour guide but at the end it is no difference from one or another.
