A day not to be missed - My children booked this as a surprise for my 60th birthday . What a treat . Julia picked us up and drove us around . She was informative , interesting, and funny . We had a super time , learning so much about the wine and oil production , especially her families connection to it . We also learnt many facts about the island . Julia took us to her families house , where the old ways of wine making and oil making was still done today . But only for the family . We were given food and a glass of wine here . We were then taken to the winery , were we indulged in the wine tasting . A wonderful day , not to be missed

Julia is a Kefalonian treasure - We booked through TripAdvisor after reading the reviews but no review matched our driver, hostess, tour guid and 24/7 grape and olive farmer, Julia. Flawless in English and so helpful, informative & passionate about her family's generational involvement in the wine and olive oil business, she gave us a personal insight into the hard work involved. Her family's farm was a perfect spot for a tasty snack of home grown olives, olive oil, locally produced feta cheese, bread and tomatoes - not to mention wine! The visit to the locally winery was great fun and Julia was very knowledgeable about the local wines. We tried 8 wines of various styles and flavours and you could buy them on site but there was no pressure to buy at all. We bought 2 bottles and another couple bought 3. I forgot to ask about the olive oil so I missed out so ask Julia when on her farm. Julia then drove us back to our hotel in Argostoli at the end of a fantastic morning. By the end it felt like saying goodbye to an old friend and not just someone we had met only a few hours earlier. A brilliant trip I would highly recommend and Julia herself should get an award from the Greek tourist board!

Highly recommended for a great day out. - What a great afternoon out myself and 3 friends had. We were picked up in Lourdas close to our villa by Julia who then took us to her families olive groves and home and then to a winery before being taken back to our villa. We learned all about the growing and making process of their Robola wine and olive oil and had a lovely traditional lunch of bread, feta, tomatoes and olives with a glass of their wine. It was wonderful. At the winery we got to taste 8 of the wines and had the story behind each one. All the wines can be purchased but there is no pushing to sell the products which we liked but we did but a bottle of our favourite. Julia is an amazing host, such a lovely lady and I would highly recommend this trip as we got to see parts of the island that we wouldn’t normally visit and it’s really good value.

Warm, friendly and fascinating - What a wonderful experience! Julia picked us up from our apartment and took us into her fascinating world. Her family have been producing grapes and olives for generations. We found ourselves spellbound by how they live with the land, past and present. Julia is so warm and friendly, you just feel privileged to see the olive and vine groves through her eyes. Then there’s the tasting! We can’t recommend this highly enough.

An excellent afternoon - We booked this tour before leaving the UK and based on the great reviews on this site - I'm so pleased we did as we had a fantastic time. Julia, whose family are grape and olive farmers and have been for generations, collected us from our villa near Svoronata and we discovered we were the only people booked on the tour. We were taken to see one of the family's vineyards where Julia told us about the process of growing the robola grapes through to harvest as well as talking about the process for the olives. We then went to her family home for a traditional light meal of feta cheese, bread, olive oil (their own of course) and tomatoes with dried wild oregano and a glass of wine. She explained how the village had relocated after the earthquake of 1953 and how her grandfather had rebuilt the 'barn' for the family's small scale wine production. Next we went to the winery, run as a cooperative, where we tasted 7 wines - 2 white, 2 rose, 2 red and a dessert wine before being returned to our villa. Julia was a superb host. Her English is excellent so we were able to ask loads of questions, not just about the wine and olives but also about the Greek way of life and differences between her culture and ours. In case anyone thinks a very small tour like this means you'll experience hard sell to buy wine at the winery, there is absolutely no attempt to sell anything. The family's olive oil can be purchased. I didn't get any as we had limited euros with us but I would have liked to. We did buy some wine at the winery (paying by card) so I hope it survives our trip back to the UK!! This is a tour I would highly recommend if you like wine and want to do something different, finding out a bit more about the island you're staying on. This is the second small and personal type tour we have done on Kefalonia (we did one when we visited Kefalonia for the first time in 2015) and they are an excellent way to see parts of the island you may not have otherwise visited and to really learn something about the local way of life from people who are passionate about their heritage.

Did not disappoint - believe the reviews, they speak volumes - This was perhaps the best experience of our holiday. Julia was the perfect hostess - incredibly knowledgeable and informative about Kefalonian viticulture and the growing of olives based on her family's experiences. This is an excellent way to see some of the island and get to know some of the different Kefalonian wines. We were fortunate to be the only couple on the trip (early in the season) but I can imagine that even with a bigger group the experience would feel no less personal. We cannot recommend this trip highly enough and it should be on everyone's itinery during their stay on Kefalonia.

5* - such an amazing day out! - It's taken me SO long to write this review but I knew I had to get round to it at some point. Me and my boyfriend booked this tour during our holiday in Kefalonia last June and it one of the highlights of our holiday. There was initially an issue with the date of our booking which almost meant it couldn't go ahead, but Julia pulled out all the stops to ensure it went ahead for us. She is an expert in everything Kefalonia and wine. It was our first time wine tasting and it was everything we imagined (and hoped) for. A 100% must do - and the price is a steal compared to wine tours elsewhere!!

Amazing wine tour in the beautiful part of the island - It was an amazing tour and we had great time. Julia picked us from the Argostoli, took us to Omala where we saw lovely vineyards and beautiful olive trees. Julia also showed us how to make wine in traditional ways and treat us with amazing traditional Greek snacks. We then went to the winery. Had 8 different wines with stunning views of the valley. It is more than just a wine tasting tour and definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kefalonia!
