Informative and interesting - Captain Kirks commentary was informative, intelligent and interesting. We enjoyed hearing about the history, the bird life and the workings of the barrage. The boat was very comfortable and the food healthy. Thank you.

A fabulous experience - This cruise was a highlight of our trip to this lovely area of South Australia. Our hosts, Kirk and Jessica, were friendly and engaging. The commentary was very informative and entertaining. We were fortunate to have bottle nosed dolphins put on a show as well as seeing plenty of fur seals, pelicans, and other seabirds including a white breasted sea eagle. The scenery within the Coorong and on the beach of the Southern Ocean was beautiful. We enjoyed learning about the ecology and conservation measures and the human experience of the Coorong. The light lunch provided was tasty and fresh. Overall, an excellent experience!

Relaxing day out - Saw lots of seals, pelicans and even some dolphines. I learned a lot about the river mouth system and the traditional land thanks to Kirk and Jess. I loved the simple yet tasty lunch and also appreciated how much the two guides were organised in their service. It was a slow paced cruise ride including a short walk. Perfect for me who needed a quick relaxing day out.

A Must-Do experience in the Coorong - Just a great experience that is authentically Australian! Get to experience the vastness of the Coorong, it's natural beauty, and its amazing flora and fauna. The Skipper provided a great informative commentary, and the first mate, was indeed first class! Lunch, especially accompanied with an ice-cold Coopers Lager, was great. Really enjoyed the walk through the dunes to the open ocean, with great insight into the Aboriginal people who once inhabited the dunes. We sat on top for the out-voyage, which gave a great 360 view, then inside in comfort for the return. If you visit the Coorong, then take this trip .... You wont regret it.

A great introduction to the Coorong - An excellent introduction to the natural beauty of the Coorong from the comfort of the Spirit of the Murray. Highlights include transiting the Goolwa Barrage loch and the variety of wildlife encountered. Skipper Kirk’s informative commentary enhanced the experience and his vessel handling skills were in evidence throughout the afternoon making all aboard very comfortable. Crew member, Jessica, looked after passenger needs efficiently distributing tasty lunch packages accompanied by a choice of drinks for purchase. Jessica also accompanied a shore excursion from the protected waters of the Coorong across the Younghusband Peninsular to experience the wild Southern Ocean with the opportunity to perform the ‘pippi shuffle’ on the beach. A great afternoon experience.

Wonderful Coorong Cruise - We went on the half day Coorong cruise. It was a fantastic intro to this wonderful area and the skipper provided a very informative commentary on the history and current status of the Coorong and Goolwa port. Although we had an overcast day, the scenery was serene, lots of birdlife, seals and dolphins. The walk across the dunes to the rugged beach was also a highlight and the lunch was yummy.
