10/10 experience! - We had an incredible experience with Murray in the hot air balloon this morning. He bought so much character & made everyone feel comfortable. The pick up/drop off process was all very smooth also. Would highly recommend as the views are unmatched up in the air!

Go Ballooning over Gold Coast - It was an awesome experience! To see the sunrise over Gold Coast was spectacular. The views right down to Mt Warning and up to Paradise Point was clear! Unforgettable Experience - Most amazing experience- this is a must if you haven't been ballooning & the team at Go Ballooning really went above and beyond for our family. This was a birthday pressie for me- & the service started well before our flight with really informative text messages keeping us all informed of weather and flight details. Neil was a great driver- he's so passionate about what he does and took us as close as poss to watch and meet our ride- thanks for keeping heater on too. Murray was our pilot and he really made this experience unforgettable for us - hillarious commentary during flight- totally loves what he does and he really acknowledged and welcome each person individually & went out of his way to specialize our flight including very cool landing & we got to go inside the deflated balloon as-well. This is a family business and their attention to detail and love for what they do is super obvious with all the effort they put into your flight. Dissatisfied flight should have been cancelled due to reported weather conditions - Such a disappointment, our initial flight over the gold coast was rescheduled for the following day due to bad weather. The following morning when we got into the coach we were advised we were going to Tambourine obviously not as planned but too late to change. On arrival while they did their best they couldn’t achieve any height resulting in us floating over two fields with the potential of landing in either. No sunset no views and no real flight, I do believe this flight should have also been cancelled rescheduled or refunded. After raising this with the team offered 50% off our next flight which we obviously couldn’t use.

NEVER FLY WITH Go Ballooning Gold Coast – Huge Safety Risk - They flew with a tear in the balloon! I recently joined a hot air ballooning tour with Go Ballooning in Gold Coast and it was honestly a very worrying experience. The pick-up was smooth and our driver was friendly. However, when we arrived, the crew was still setting up the balloon and seemed too busy to provide any instructions on what the passengers (24 of us) should do after getting off the bus. The wind started picking up, and the half blown up balloon began drifting toward the crowd until it hit a road sign and a light post before stopping. Everyone was confused as there was no clear communication from the staff. Eventually, one of the staff asked all passengers to help them “relocate” the balloon. That’s when we noticed a large tear in the balloon fabric. The balloon had a hole in it. I assumed the tour would be cancelled for safety reasons, but surprisingly, the pilot told us it was fine — that he could just “glue it up” and we could fly. There was no option to not fly or get money back and no talk of cancelling. All passengers, including myself ended up helping to move the balloon and get it blown up again. Once in the air we could still see a huge hole near the top of the balloon. The pilot kept reassuring us that it was “completely safe” and just a bit of “morning drama.” The flight lasted just under 35 minutes, not the 1 hour we paid for. To be honest, I was very nervous the entire time, and I could tell several other passengers felt the same. After returning, I researched and learned that flying a damaged balloon after a tear is unsafe and goes against standard aviation safety practices. I feel the pilot knowingly took a huge risk with 25 lives on board, including his own. This experience left me extremely disappointed and uneasy. I would strongly advise others DO NOT book with this company — Go Ballooning. Safety should always come first and this did not feel safe at all.
