Turbans and Tractors - A wonderful half a day with a local farming family on the outskirts of Amritsar. See their beautiful house, walk in the fields, take a tractor ride around the village, eat some lovely food cooked on an open fire in the courtyard. My only recommend is to book the private taxi with the family as the Viator trip says 9.30 , we were picked up from our hotel at 10am which was a better start. Communication was easy through wassap. If the trip is busy you may have a few groups all starting at different times so best to check before booking.

Perfect glimpse of Punjab village life ! - Was in Amritsar on a short trip with my sister and I’m happy we did this experience! Tarsem Singh and his family are wonderful hosts and the trip to the farm , tractor ride and food was very authentic! In the 4 hrs they made us feel like we belonged to Punjab ❤️. Tarsem arranged for our transport, educated us about places to visit and facilitated our shopping experience! We have wonderful pictures for our memories. Definitely recommend !

A Heartfelt Slice of Village Life in Amritsar - From the moment we arrived at the Real Village Tour, we were welcomed like family. The hosts, Mr. Singh and his wife Vrigie, radiated warmth and hospitality, while their son Jeewan charmed us with his intelligence and respectfulness. The ancestral home, standing for five generations, was both historic and inviting. Sitting in the peaceful courtyard felt like stepping into another world. A tractor ride through lush green fields gave us a glimpse of rural Punjab’s beauty, and the village drive added authenticity to the experience. Lunch was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared by the aunties. Helping Grandpa with a small task was unexpectedly delightful; his energy and stories made the visit even more personal. This wasn’t just a tour—it was an immersion into Punjabi culture and family life. If you want to experience Amritsar beyond the Golden Temple, this is an unforgettable way to do it.

Amazing Experience - I had an amazing experience at the amritsar real village tour. Tarsem singh was an amazing host and was very knowledgeable. The grandfather was also lovely by sharing old stories as well as old history of the village and partition. Jasmeet Kaur had had amazing food, just like home. It was dhal, Kadhi, dhay, chol, roti and Paneer Bhurji. The hospitality was amazing. Baba Ji was just like my Nana Ji, when I spoke to him and when we walked to share old stories. I also drove the tractor back to the village.i would come again and stay the night as well. The family was amazing and the house was very clean.

Tarsem and his family a very gracious hosts, making us food and a lovely lunch; showing us round his farm and letting us drive his tractor. Wonderful time. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a genuine experience of Punjabi village life!

Underwhelming - We were quite underwhelmed by this tour, which seems to have rave reviews from everyone else. But this is our honest experience. Firstly there was a misunderstanding on the part of the operator as to whether we had a current booking. I had to get Viator to email them to confirm it, but this was after many hours of them saying I needed to pay again and I didn't have a booking. This was the evening before the tour, quite stressful and very annoying. We had booked for 0930 but they told us it would be better at 12noon as someone else would be there. We could adjust our plans, so we did so. We were welcomed by the family and given tasty pakora, lassi and chai. Then off on the tractor for 25 minutes. The other 12 noon person did not appear. Then out of the blue at around 1pm a minibus of people arrived, they had the same greeting we did etc and then were off on a 1.5 hour tractor tour. At this point the main guy Tarsim went with them, (which we didn't realise at all) leaving us with no one speaking English. A meal was served which was nice. Then the wife came up and just said 'tour finished'. We never saw Tarsim again, we felt we were accessories to the bus load. Maybe another day would have been different but it wasn't what I had expected from the fabulous reviews. We were hanging around quite a bit and felt that our tractor tour was probably cut short so that we could be back for the arrival of the bus. There was no milking a cow or other things mentioned that visitors could take part in, no offer of henna painting etc. No one around to answer our questions about the cultural farming life after our initial tractor tour. Family and all people were pleasant but as I say, underwhelming at best.

Joke, scam not a Panjab tour - What a joke of a tour I honestly don’t know how this tour is listed on Viator. The experience felt misleading and completely unprofessional. Someone from Viator should visit the facility and properly investigate. Safety was a serious concern — a tractor was being driven by what looked like a 14-year-old kid, which felt very unsafe. The so-called “village tour” lasted barely 10 minutes and only took us to a mustard field for photo ops. They claimed there would be cows, but there were none — just stories. Food was average at best and served unhygienically, with bare hands. After lunch, they handed out a cheap candy as “dessert,” which was honestly shocking. There was absolutely no Panjab theme or Panjab feeling. Just a very small house with limited seating, no atmosphere, no cultural vibes, and no entertainment. We were done in about 2 hours and struggled to kill time. Overall, the tour was poorly organized, misleading, and not worth the money. I would never recommend this to foreigners or locals. Please research before booking. If you want a real Punjabi cultural experience, Sadda Pind is a much better option.
