Highlights
  • Bibury - Our first stop is Bibury, where we will visit the famous cottages on Arlington Row, walk around the marsh looking out for birds and shop for gifts and souvenirs whilst trying to spot some of the incredible, bright blue trout at Bibury Trout Farm.
  • Bourton-on-the-Water - Our second stop is Bourton on the Water, also known as ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, thanks to the stone bridges that cross the River Windrush as it flows through the centre of the village. Here you will have time to browse the boutique shops nestled amongst the quaint streets on both sides of the river, or indulge in a cup of tea and a scone.
  • Lower Slaughter - Lower Slaughter is known as the most idyllic village in the Cotswolds and upon arrival, you will immediately understand why. A beautiful manor house overlooks the village, and a quintessential Cotswolds inn nestled in the corner of the village is where we will stop for lunch. Please note, the cost of your lunch is not included in the tour price, and lunch itself is completely optional. Please confirm at the point of booking if you would like to include this option.
  • Broadway Tower - After visiting the village of Lower Slaughter, we will drive to Broadway Tower; a fascinating and historic folly designed by Capability Brown. Please note, we will not be allowed to enter to tower, nor use the steps to the top.
  • Broadway - Here we will walk the wide High Street together and learn why Broadway became an important location for the Arts and Crafts Movement. Then, you will be allowed to roam free and explore the shops, museum, village green and plentiful tea rooms and cafes.

A beautiful day in the Cotswolds - Our tour with Nathan was so enjoyable! His knowledge and stories of the Cotswolds made for a fantastic day! We’ve never been on a private tour before, but Nathan made us comfortable, and we got to see both beautiful architecture and nature. Plus, his driving skills are on point. We highly recommend this tour!

Both Nathan and Costswolds enchanting! - Nathan was outstanding and made the difference between leaving the Cotswolds wondering if it was worth the stay, and being enchanted by seeing it through both a resident and gifted tour guide.

Custom Cotswolds Experience - We had a great time on this one day tour. Our host, Nathan, was easy going, professional, and entertaining. This led to a very pleasant day. Nathan, having grown up in the area, knew the cotswolds inside and out. The tour covered a good mix of villages and sights. It is perfect for someone looking to cover some ground without overdoing it.

Magical Day in the Cotswolds - I've been to England many times, but never visited the Cotswolds. I went online and fortunately stumbled upon a private tour of the Cotswolds with a gentleman named Nathan on Viator. I can't say enough about his professionalism, historical knowledge, and passion for the Cotswolds, as he was born and raised there. Nathan shared several fun personal experiences when he was a youngster in the various villages that we visited that brought humor and reality to the adventure. He keeps his beautiful BMW Alpina in spotless shape. There is nothing I can fault in this tour. I highly recommend it for you.

A lovely day in the Cotswolds - If you are considering touring the Cotswolds, I highly recommend a privately guided tour by Nathan. He was extremely flexible and accommodating when we had to adjust our schedule. His love for the area, which happens to be where he grew up, is reflected in the detail of the history he shares throughout the many stops. Nathan’s kindness and excitement resonated in everything he shared along our journey, and he took his time to ensure we soaked up the atmosphere of the quaint villages and beautiful countryside. Our day flew by, and we were disappointed when it came to an end. We cannot wait to return to this charming region.

A wonderful day in the Cotswolds - The most memorable parts? Everything! Nate arrived on time, made sure we were comfortable, talked to us about what we would like to do and then he set about doing it. He is an authority on the history and geography of the Cotswolds and was able to give us extensive background information on the villages and the places that we visited. I was showing my wife this part of England and she was spell-bound throughout the day. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

Book Nathan for the enchanting personalized tour of the Cotswolds! - Nathan was fantastic! From the moment we reached out to him to inquire about the Cotswolds experience, he was very warm, friendly and accommodating in his emails and we felt he would be a great fit. He picked us up at our lodgings in his lovely Alpina and he was just so personable and cheerful. We spent the day exploring various villages in the Cotswolds and he regaled us with stories and details. We were very appreciative of his time making sure we could understand him (we both have hearing loss) but he was just great to communicate with. Each village is just breathtaking in its own way and each has its own vibe as well. We felt like we were in a movie! We opted to do lunch and he took us to a quaint pub in Broadway and we had a lovely time talking over delicious food. The curry dish was out of the world! The Alpina was such a smooth and comfortable ride navigating through tight and narrow roads and we never felt a bump. The seats were buttery smooth and he provided us with water bottles throughout the ride. He always checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable and to let us know we could stop and take photos. Nathan has a great sense of humor and is very easygoing person to show you around in his backyard as he grew up in the Cotswolds! We ended the day feeling like friends and we truly had a magical day exploring the Cotswolds-much gratitude to this wonderful guide named Nathan and we highly recommend him! Just book him and you will have a fantastic experience!
