Highlights
- Defiance Rafting - Your experience starts by meeting at the Defiance boathouse in No Name, CO in beautiful Glenwood Canyon (which is just 2 miles east of the community of Glenwood Springs). There, we will gear you up, talk about the trip, and introduce you to your river pro. Then we’ll shuttle up the canyon to Grizzly Creek where we will put-in on the Colorado River. You’ll begin your scenic float right away as we navigate down the lower half of Glenwood Canyon. There will be occasional splashes and opportunities to jump in the water through lower Glenwood Canyon and into the community of Glenwood Springs.

Trip Length: 2 hours to 2 1/2 hours (dependent on river flow)
Departs daily @ 9:00 am; 1:00 pm; and 4:00 pm
Check-In is 45 minutes prior to departure
Requirements: Paddlers must weigh at least 30lbs.

Experience the thrill of swimming or just enjoy a hot spring toe-dipping session as you get close to Glenwood Springs, with the hot springs seamlessly blending into the Colorado River.

One of the best things we did in Colorado! - One of the best things we did in Colorado! With no previous rafting experience, we decided on the scenic float. We were the last trip of the year, and it was a cooler day, so it was a little chilly. Waterproof jackets were helpful, and splashes were few and minor, thank goodness! We stopped at one of the hot springs, which was amazing. Charlotte was our guide. Our whole family loved her! She was personable and knowledgeable and made our trip a lot of fun. We would definitely go back!

Perfect for the whole family. - This was a great family event. This trip we did the float as we had a less adventurous participant. It was perfect and allowed us all to enjoy to beautiful scenery together as a family.

A beautiful day on the Colorado river. - It was amazing. We got to see a bear by the water. Our guide was so knowledgeable and the whole experience was a 20 out of 10.

Amazing Rafting Experience on Colorado River! - Neil was a great tour guide- funny, calm, made sure we were always comfy and happy while filling us in with fascinating events and facts about the Canyon, river and Glenwood Springs area! We had so much fun and it was an incredible and very memorable experience. The local company we were with via Viator were friendly, fun and made everything so easy for us by preparing us well!

An adventure we won't forget - We had the most enthusiastic and exciting guide. Her name I believe was Demetrius. She was so knowledgeable and we felt safe in her hands. It was such a thrill. The scenery was amazing. Can't wait to come back again.

Beautiful scenery, fun - This trip exceeded our expectations, we had so much fun!!!
We had Ben as our raft guide, he was awesome and very informative, right down to how we should proceed to Denver after the ride. He made us aware of the closure on 70, due to an accident/fire, and suggested another way to bypass the issue. Thank goodness he did. We made it to our final destination along a wonderful scenic route.
We would suggest Defiance to anyone and everyone.
Don’t miss it, you wont retreat it.

Go for awesome scenery - Our guide, Rob, was very entertaining and super friendly and skilled. And the scenery is so beautiful from the river, this all made up for the weather turning cold and rainy mid float. I would recommend at this time of year even if it is sunny to start, wear a wind/water protection layer!
