Bucket List Hot Air Balloon Ride Checked Off And Fabulous - We only had a few days in Phoenix and didn't have much choice on dates to fly, but Rainbow Ryders had such a good reputation that we were thrilled to be able to book a sunrise flight. The check-in process was efficient, there were restrooms available for our use before the flight, the take-off and landings were amazing, and the ride itself was awesome! Our pilot was very experienced, had lots of information to share while we were in the air, and it was fun to watch the balloon set-up and tear down process. This was one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences and a great way to check it off of our bucket list of fun things to do. Well worth it!!

Extra long ride with a very experienced, personable pilot - Amazing!! Professional, confident and competent staff and pilot!! Felt 100% safe, informed and educated!! We had a beautiful, extra long ride and a fun, bumpy, landscaping landing that we were very well prepared for!!

A magical morning! - Our pilot, Al, was fantastic! Once we were up in the air I realized the importance of a skilled and experienced pilot. He filled the bill and more- with funny anecdotes about his experience flying balloons and also concrete information about the science and history of the hot air balloon. Once we flew out of the Phoenix suburbs and into the desert it was breathtakingly beautiful. Al took us down o the desert floor to appreciate the Saguaro cacti close up. Landing back on earth was a let down....literally.

Such a bucketlist... - Such a bucketlist experience!! Definitely would recommend. Ended the experience with some champagne.

Balloon ride great, aeronaut was not - The balloon ride was great and met expectations. Very relaxing and the perfect time in the basket. The crew was great aside from the one who actually took us. He was a short with us and grumpy but seemed like he’d catch himself being rude and would try to quickly make a joke or redeem himself. When it was time to tip he made a point to say it went toward the entire crew who helped us.. that was the only reason we left a tip. Everyone was great and kind aside from him. He came off as put out he was there and at $220 a person with 12-16 paying guests per balloon I’d think you’d be able to be more fun and enjoyable to be around. Safety comes first but you can do it kindly. We were put off of asking any questions. We’d also done a horseback ride with another company and they kept us aware of safety while being kind and fun, comparing the two I’d recommend the horse ride over the balloon just for that reason.
