Great tour - Our guide Ehab was very knowledgeable and helped guide us through the khan el-khalili. The lunch spot they took us to was very good. Would highly recommend going to the bazaar with a tour guide. Ehab made our experience so much better.

Fun time! - Our trip was great, we got some good shopping in. Our guide knew exactly where to go to find the things we were interested in. The food at lunch was maybe the best part! Best little place outside the market

Khan el Khalili - I had a great day with Marsil. We chatted almost the entire day and she was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history. She was also able to answer my questions about local plants. She repeatedly offered to take my picture and we took several selfies together. It was great. As a solo traveler I was a bit worried I would be lonely during my trip. However, today Marsil was a tour guide and a friend.

Great Day Tour of Cairo - Our tour guide, Ehab, was outstanding. An Egyptologist working on an advanced degree in archeology, he provided us with background and history of Cairo, guided us expertly through the bazaar, and knew the best places to take photos. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. And props to our driver. Ahmed, who safely got us to each spot on the tour! Wouldn’t want to have to navigate those streets. Thanks to both for lasting memories!

Efficient Way To Buy Gifts and Experience the Culture - It was very helpful to be dashed around to see all the major handy craft markets. We found some lovely items and the driver and tour guide were very accommodating with our particular schedule needs. A very efficient and fun way to buy gifts and cultural items for yourself.

Good price, decent experience - Imad was my driver and he was very attentive and kind. He took me and from the market and drove me around to see Cairo and visit the shops, always attentive to my needs. We had koshari for lunch, drinks included, and it was great! Some of the shopkeeps in the itinerary were respectful (Noha from the Mamluk Jewellery and Bazaar was extremely kind, as were the gentlemen from Merit Bazaar and 3 Pyramids Papyrus institute), others not so much and were very pushy. In particular, one in the aromatherapy shop was extremely rude and unkind as soon as I said I wasn't interested in buying (we had been to 6 shops before). He scolded me and my driver, tried to charge me 30 dollars for "telling me a story" (?), addressed me like I'm a stray dog for not wanting to give him "30 dollars" (insistent!) and dismissed us out of his store and deteriorated the overall experience. There's also no point in complaining, as in the end, it'll somehow be your fault. All in all, I'd give the overall experience a 3/5 if not for Imad's kindness and that of a few vendors who made this trip memorable. If you book this trip, ask for Imad to be your driver.

Good guide, mid-level activities - Like the other reviews mention, you are first taken to 5 stores (spices, cotton, papyrus, jewelry, oils). These are standard--they give their spiel & want you to purchase from them. The jewelry shop itself seemed extremely overpriced. The guide waits at the front during these times. After the shops, you're then taken to the market. I found the market itself to be underwhelming. Mostly it's all trinkets and all the stands repeat. Our guide Marsil was very kind and knowledgeable, and our driver John was kind as well. They were lovely, however I would not repeat this tour as the market itself I found to not be great.
