- Giza Plateau - The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة‎) is located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. It is the site of the Fourth Dynasty Giza Necropolis, which includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only fully preserved portrait of King Khufu is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. Other reliefs and statues were discovered in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. Several statues of Khafre were found in the valley temple, some discovered in a well by Mariette in 1860 and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
- Great Sphinx - The Sphinx dates back to the reign of King Khafre. During the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet, which was later expanded by subsequent rulers.
- Giza - The Quad Bike Tour is an exhilarating way to explore Egypt’s ancient wonders. These custom-made buggies can speed over the dunes at over 50 mph, taking you to places most tourists never see. Riding through the desert is a thrilling experience, offering unforgettable holiday memories and stunning photos with the Pyramids as a backdrop.
