Cairo in Context with a Friendly, Scholarly Guide - Learning to spell out my name in hieroglyphs was just one of the facts I learned from Zanaty Mohamed Zizou my excellent guide on a half day visit to the Sphinx and Pyramids during a layover at Cairo Airport. Even before we met up, Zizou’s precise WhatsAp instructions led me to the lobby of the Le Meridian Hotel where efficient driver Mahmoud collected me and pointed out local sights as we drove to meet Zizou. A scholar of Egyptian language and history, Zizou’s commentary on legends about the pyramids and temples added fascinating information and context about the sights. At the museum, an extra stop, he led me to the highlights and explained customs behind the regalia and positioning of the ancient statues – he could read the ancient inscriptions on the tombs. We concluded with a delicious buffet lunch of traditional foods on a riverboat overlooking little boats bobbing by on the Nile. As an extra benefit, he helped me straighten out logistics of my travel plans before the vigilant Mahmoud drove me back to the airport with a new expanded understanding and appreciation of Egyptian history and lore.

Fabulous layover tour of Cairo - A fabulous day with Mohamed Gomaa (our guide) and Ihab (driver). Mohamed combines his in depth knowledge with a wonderful sense of humour, engaging the adults and our 6 year old. From booking, to airport pick up, visiting the museum and bazaar, followed by the pyramids, fabulous camel ride and the sphinx, everything was smooth, organised, unrushed. The lunch was lovely and suitable for vegetarians This has been a lovely day, the highlight of our visit to Egypt.

Perfect Cairo Layover - Perfect way to spend part of my 12 hours in Cairo, from eating falafel for breakfast to riding camels at the pyramids, this tour was everything I wanted it to be and more. There is plenty of flexibility so if you don’t want to do a certain something, or you’d like to add a stop to your trip, all you need to do is ask Mohamed. He was a very knowledgeable guide and helped me learn Egyptian history and how to avoid hagglers 😅. All in all very fun experience, enjoyed it thoroughly, 10/10.

Awesome Layover Tour - The tour was everything promised and more, from starting the morning with falafel to riding camels in open desert vistas of the Giza Pyramids. Mohamed has been a very generous guide and wants to have fun with you rather than just showing you around, he helped give insight on the history of each site as well as advice for dealing with hagglers 😅 Overall very fun and unique experience, definitely recommended if you have some down time in Cairo!

Fantastic guided tour of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum! - We spent the day learning about Egyptian history with Mohammed Gomaa. We're a family of 4 (2 adults, 9 and 11yo) and we enjoyed the day immensely. Mohammad was engaging, deeply knowledgable and made the learning fun for all of us. He helped us with all aspects of the tour including access, photography, food and drink and customising to our interests. The Egyptian Museum was especially fascinating due to Mohammed's knowledge and story telling. We'll be visiting Egypt again and have already recommended Mohammed to our friends for their future visits.

Awesome 1-day Cairo guided tour experience - Great experience for a day! We are a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 5yo boy). Our guide Mahmoud Badr and driver Mahmoud Abiad took all efforts possible to make our Cairo trip worthwhile. Mahmoud was particularly knowledgeable about Egyptian history, and was able to give us a very good introduction prior to the various tourist attractions we visited (The Pyramids of Giza, The Sphinx and The Egyptian Museum). We were also guided to a couple of beautiful shops and boutiques where we could sample and buy some traditional Egyptian oils and perfumes. Definitely a highly recommended guide trip in Cairo!

Awesome day - Tito was the most amazing tour guide! Both Tito and Mahmoud were very professional. Tito was very welcoming, had positive vibes and explained the history and culture of Egypt in a magnificent way. I will definitely be returning to Egypt and I highly recommend both the tour agency and Tito.

Great day at the Pyramids - We had a great day at the Pyramids. Our tour guide, Nora, was very knowledgeable. She picked us up from our hotel and drove us immediately to the historical site just like we wanted. She was very personable and accommodating. We both felt very safe and the historical sites are phenomenal.
