Luxor/Cairo Tour

Pyramids of Giza - In the early morning, a Sun Pyramids Tours representative will pick up guests from their hotel in Luxor and transfer them to Luxor International Airport for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, a representative will introduce them to their Egyptologist tour guide and take them to explore the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. The tour continues with a visit to the Great Sphinx, featuring a pharaoh’s head on a lion’s body, dating back to Chephren’s era. The itinerary also includes the Valley Temple, associated with the Pyramids of Chephren.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo, the tour proceeds to the Egyptian Museum, which houses artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum boasts a rare collection of 5,000 years of art, considered the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art worldwide, with over 250,000 authentic artifacts on display.

Coptic Cairo - The journey continues to Coptic Cairo, offering insights into Christian and Jewish heritage through visits to the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Islamic Cairo - The tour then heads to Islamic Cairo, where guests can explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s historic bazaar.

Alexandria Tour/Luxor

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - A Sun Pyramids Tours representative will pick up guests from their hotel in Cairo for an exciting day trip to Alexandria. The first stop is Pompay’s Pillar, constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally part of the Serapis temple, it was once a grand structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean. The tour then proceeds to the Catacombs, the largest Roman Cemetery with three levels carved into the rock.

Fort Qaitbey - After lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria, the tour continues to the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria, followed by a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Finally, guests will return to Cairo airport for their flight back to Luxor and transfer to their hotel in Luxor.
