A Perfect Day - A perfect day. Our guide, Jean-Paul, picked us up right on time and drove us to Giverny. I’ve always loved Monet so seeing his water garden was magical. I was so happy we were not a part of any of the large groups shuffling along the path. We were able to easily navigate around them to find beautiful spots to stop and enjoy our surroundings. The village itself is charming. The visit to Auvers-sur-Oise was spectacular. I loved visiting the doctor’s home and then the room where Van Gogh lived (and died) during his short stay there. The most incredible part of the trip was to stand where Van Gogh painting the Auvers Church. I purchased a small version of the painting from the d’Orsay 40 years ago and never dreamed one day I would see it in person! Jean-Paul was a fabulous guide patiently answering questions and listening to stories.

Enjoyable and fuss-free day trip - It was a really enjoyable day.. with a guide who shared nuggets of information from the city of Paris to the towns of Giverny, Auvers and everything in between. With a personal vehicle, we could decide to spend more or less time at each location which was useful with young children around.

Go to Giverney! - Giverney was the most beautiful place I've ever seen and our tour guide Claude was so great, it was a wonderful tour and the best day of our 10 days in France.

Relaxing trip connecting to the great artists - Very relaxed trip to the serene Giverny and Auvers Sur Oise. I you admire Monet and Van Gogh, these are good places to connect to their art.

THE BEST TOUR COMPANY IN PARIS - My wife and I wanted a private tour of Giverny and Auvers-Sur-Oise. .Monet and Van Gogh. Due diligence and through research in the computer led us to Normandy Melody. Our inquiring e-mail was responded to in about 2 hours by Sarah,the owner. She founded the company 5 years ago and now has 10 guides. We set up a date for the private tour and left for Paris from Miami. Sarah herself toured us that day and arrived a little early at our hotel in a Mercedes SUV. She is a very bright individual an easy communicator of excellent English with a deep understanding of the sites visited. We went to Monet's house first, then lunch at a great and inexpensive restaurant in front of his house. After lunch on to see Van Gogh. Sarah showed all the key Van Gogh sites where he spent his last days. This included the field where he was shot as well as the room he lived and died in. We also visited some of the buildings he painted in his last days and even Dr. Gachet's home. Sarah knows the area cold since she grew up near Giverny so no time is wasted traveling around the area. Her company does many different tours in Paris and around the area. Do yourself a big favor and make contact with Normandy Melody. Don't leave Paris without giving Sarah a chance to show you her first rate guided experience.

Giverny with Frederic - Eight American ladies (none of which speak French) extended this trip to include lunch and the additional museum on the Giverny grounds. We were escorted by Frederic who provided transportation to and from our Paris Hotel to make this a very memorable excursion. Frederic had the appropriate information, wit and charm to keep us all engaged from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this tour if you are interested in Monet and/or impressionism. I understand Frederic also tours other sites both within Paris and its surrounding areas, so I will be requesting him as my guide, when needed in Paris. Thank you Frederic, M Hall, Houston, TX

Giverny and Auvers-sur-Oise Par Excellence - I had a wonderful trip with Normandy Melody and Sara as our guide,. Sara was prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable about Monet and Van Gogh. We arrived at Monet's gardens before the tour boat crowds which made the tour exceptional. Rather than rush through Auvers Sara took the time to point out several rather obscure areas of interest related to Vincent Van Gogh and his time in the area and even arranged for admission to Dr. Gachet house and gardens too. I would highly recommend this day trip to any fans of Monet or Van Gogh and Normandy Melody as your guide . A+++++

Wonderful day - We enjoyed our day tour from Paris to Giverny and Auvers sur Oise. Our guide JP was nice, fun and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history behind Monet and Van Gogh. It was a really interesting day for us! However, there was some confusion about our itinerary and we weren’t taken to all the spots in Ginervy after we left. Fortunately,when I addressed the issues, our guide JP was willing to fix the mistakes and take us back to Giverny and complete our full itinerary . Although time was lost on the road by driving back and forth (and extra 60-90 min?), we appreciate his efforts to make us happy. We liked the flexibility and easiness of private tour as we didn’t feel obligated to chat with other people or accommodate and wait around for others in other day tours in minivan. We highly recommend this tour to everyone, just be sure that you check your itinerary on your voucher with your guide at the beginning of your tour!
