Highlights
  • Cap de Creus National Park - We’ll take a stroll around the Cap de Creus Lighthouse, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. We’ll take in the breathtaking views of the coast and the landscape shaped by the wind, sun, and sea salt,
  • Esglesia de Santa Maria - We’ll explore the Santa Maria church in Cadaqués, which boasts an impressive Baroque altarpiece. It’s one of the most significant from that era in Catalonia. We’ll delve into its history that includes tales of fishermen, pirates, and American emigrants.

  • Cadaques - We’ll have a guided tour of the fishing village of Cadaqués to learn about its history of pirates, privateers, American emigrants, and fishermen. We’ll also see where Picasso stayed and where the Dalí family spent their summers…
  • Monasterio de Sant Pere de Rodes - The Sant Pere de Rodes Monastery stands atop one of the peaks of the Rodes mountain range, a coastal chain in the northern part of Alt Empordà . It is among the many examples of Catalan Romanesque architecture, yet it stands out for its architectural sophistication. From the 11th to the 14th century, it was the main spiritual center of the County of Empúries, and its grandeur is evident in the large scale of the monastic complex. This includes the church, bell tower, cloister, sacristies, conventional living quarters, and the Abbot’s palace.
Outside, the portal, crafted by the Master of Cabestany, displayed various scenes from the life of Christ carved in white marble.
From the monastery, one can enjoy one of the best views of Cap de Creus. Just before reaching it, one can find the remains of the medieval village of Santa Creu de Rodes, among which the church of Santa Helena de Rodes stands out.

Thanks Alex and Eduardo! - Both our driver Alex and our tour guide Eduardo were great! Even though nobody else was on tour that day, we were still able to go even with our small group of 2. The tour stops in some beautiful places and the guide is very educated! The olive oil and wine tasting at the very end was the perfect way to end our day!! Definitely recommend!!

Costa Bravo, Cadaques, capes de Creus, Sant Pere - Worthwhile trip leaving from Girona. Our guide, Eduardo, did an excellent job explaining the sites, culture, and history of all the cities. Capes de Creus was absolutely a must see. Cadaques was one of the most quaint and beautiful cities we have visited. Enjoyed the monastery with the medieval walls. Worthwhile day reasonably priced for the on travel time and multiple stops. A+

Highly recommended! - This was an excellent day spent exploring and learning. Beautiful landscapes and a wonderful, rich history that was told so eloquently by our guide, Alvar. Our small group had a mobility challenged individual and the driver and Alvar made every accommodation to make his experience enjoyable.

Great Addition to Girona Visit - Marc was a wonderful guide and host. He combines a passion for his home province with the experience of his history background to make this a memorable tour. Marc is great with details and interesting bits of trivia. His communication is excellent and his English is perfect. The wine tasting was fun and not intimidating at all. The roads are twisty so wear your sea bands or take your Dramamine. My family really enjoyed all the aspects of this tour!

Highlight of our trip to Girona - We have visited Barcelona many times in the past, but Girona has always been a "next time", and that time was now.My husband and I don't drive in Europe these days, so I am always looking for a good ,small company that does just this. I was very excited when I found Girona experience which seemed to tick all the boxes. Wonderful pre visit communication, fair rates and most happily for us an understanding of our particular priority must sees. On our first tour, we were picked up promptly at our accommodation by Marc, and Carme was our super driver. We visited Cadaques, Port Lligat and then the wonderful, aweinspiring Monastery of St Pere de Rodes high up in a remote, jaw droppingly beautiful area. Marc understood our love of Romanesque architecture and history, and we had wonderful conversations both in and out of the car, with Carme (always with an eagle eye on the road) joining in occasionally. Photography is another love, and Marc always knew the best places to stop. After a delicious lunch in crowded Cadaques, we arrived at St Pere, and what a thrill it was to finally visit this place. Marc's knowledge and passion for the history and culture of Girona and beyond was wonderful to behold. We enjoyed a super day, filled with Art, History, great food stunning scenery and wonderful company, and I couldn't wait for the following day when we visited Historic Besalu and the medieval villages of the Costa Brava with Marc and Carme. We couldn't recommend Marc and Carme enough, and wish their small company every success in the future. Kind Regards from Jennifer & Juris from Melbourne.
