Wonderful day tour!! - We had a wonderful day out at Busa Lake and El Chorro waterfall! Our guide, Diego, was charming and extremely knowledgeable about the vegetation, the area, and anything we wanted to know about Ecuador. Our tour included a delicious lunch of some typical Ecuadorian food. And the falls were spectacular! Thank you for a very worthwhile day out.

OUTSTANDING Tour and Guide! - We had an amazing 2 person tour. Well worth the time and money. Our guide, Diego, was so fun and extremely knowledgeable. We learned things that we would not have learned otherwise. We were so happy to spend the day with him. He is fantastic. The views were breathtaking. Girón is a lovely small town. The historical museum was added surprise to the tour and well worth a visit. San Fernando, Busa Lagoon and El Chorro is absolutely beautiful. The views were stunning❤️

Absolutely amazing experience - Edison (Eddie) is a wealth of knowledge and a top notch professional guide. He shares all his knowledge of Cuenca, not only historical but geographical and ecological as well. My family and I were very fortune to have met Eddie and spent these amazing days with him exploring this part of Ecuador. He is punctual, plans his trips thoroughly and lays out expectations . He is accommodating and looks out for the best possible experience for his clients. We hope to visit Cuenca and surroundings regions again and will undoubtedly hire Eddie and look forward to our next visit.

An Outstanding Experience with Diego!!! - I did this tour on the last day of my visit to Ecuador, and it was one of my favorite memories from the trip. The hike up was strenuous (there's a shorter route but I specifically requested the longer route as it encompasses better views), but it was totally worth it because of the stunning views along the hike, as well as at the waterfall. What made the tour even more enjoyable was my wonderful guide - Diego. A huge shout out to him as he's definitely one of the best guides I've ever had during my travels. Diego was extremely attentive and talkative. For anyone that wants to learn more about the history, culture, and landscape of Ecuador, he'll be more than glad to answer your questions. The 3-hour hike felt really short as, during the whole time, we were having a "cultural exchange". Diego was eager to learn about American culture, whilst I wanted to learn more about Ecuador. Upon hearing that I'll travel to Peru via Huaquillas by bus the next day, Diego went the extra mile and sent me a comprehensive list of useful Spanish phrases which helped make the border crossing experience totally seamless. Overall, this was an outstanding tour and a "hidden gem" of Southern Ecuador. I highly recommend doing it!

A sweet combination of nature and knowledge - The tour started at 8:30, when Andres picked me up at my hotel. Andres was very knowledgeable about Ecuadorian politics and the economy and about the history of Ecuador. It was fun and interesting to talk to him and I learned a lot. Our fist stop was at el Chorro, a wonderful waterfall, Then we continued to lago Busa, where we did a tour around the lake. He told me interesting stories about the different plants, flowers and birds. After a delicious lunch we headed back to Cuenca. I can fully recommend this interesting tour.

Andres was the best!! Hope to come again soon - Our small group of three had two tours with Polylepis tours put of Cuenca. The tours were the highlight of our stay in Cuenca. The operator followed up with us promptly before the tours and after. Our guide for both days was Andres. We all found him to be most informed and helpful during our tours. His English was “perfecto” even though our Spanish was very rusty to say the least. He was able to answer all of our questions along the way, many times before we even asked. He was professional and given the often difficult Covid restrictions, we were able to throughly enjoy each outing. We would recommend this tour operator and guide Andres without reservation!! 5 stars!!!!!

Beautiful, Relaxing, Charming - The setting for El Chorro is magnificent. Surrounded by jungle, it falls majestically into a small pool of water, continuing on as brooks. As in most places that cater to visitors, the paths to and from the waterfall are one way. The walk from the parking to the base of the waterfall is not very steep, but it is a narrow passage through a nature trail. I did see a couple of seniors making their way up to the waterfall. However, on the way back (the one way path) is more steep and challenging. I personally felt that the visiting seniors should be able to take the same way back, just because the other path may be too strenuous for them. That aside, the waterfall is beautiful, we visited in late November, and the water was very cold, but we were told that many people swim or wade in the pool underneath the rushing water when the weather is nice. As foreigners, we had to pay $3 admission fee. We enjoyed our hike through the woods.
