Our adventure starts when our guides collect you from the rendezvous point early in the morning to reach the Covadonga Lakes early and maximize our day there.
Before ascending to the Basilica, we will pause at the Mirador de Entrelagos and take pleasure in the splendid vistas it presents of Lake Ercina and Lake Enol.
Next, we proceed to the Basilica of Covadonga, an awe-inspiring edifice, constructed with stone quarried from the Covadonga mountains itself.
We will also witness the Cueva de la Virgen de Covadonga or La Cuevona, which houses the sculpture of the Virgin of Covadonga or La Santina, the definitive emblem of this Natural Paradise that is Asturias and the divine protector of all Asturians.
Our lunch halt will be in Cangas de Onís.
The coach ride back enables you to relax after this extensive expedition.
We will reach Gijón around 7:00 p.m.
