This cruise takes you through the heart of Puget Sound. It is the only public sunset cruise on Puget Sound with this extended duration and distance traveled, nearly 30 miles, round trip. Our cruise is available to individual travelers rather than groups only. Our vessel, “RIVIERA” is a restored, USCG certified, classic Northwest built charter boat. She and her captain and crew are steeped in Puget Sound legacy and experience. This is a smooth-water cruise. Wildlife ranges from seagulls to Bald Eagles, seals and sea lions. Can’t miss Mt. Rainier for hours and the Olympic Mountain range unimpeded except for some clouds. You can bring-your-own snacks and drinks, no alcohol please. This is an interactive trip where we candidly and casually interpret our surroundings. There is plenty of time on this cruise where you are left to enjoy the cruise without interruption. We will talk with you and answer your questions along the way. (Senior Age is 62. Tour is recommended for ages 10 and above.)

We leave from and return to Maritime Pier, Gig Harbor. Parking is in the surrounding few blocks, in addition to the small lot at the pier. You can bring your own picnic. Our boat has a bathroom and there are public restrooms at the pier to use before hand. Dress for the cool evening breeze.

Great trip around the Sound! Highly recommend! - A great time boating around the southern portion of Puget Sound. Saw seals and porpoises and bald eagles and beautiful homes. We enjoyed the cruise and the information and the captain and crew and the boat itself. Would highly recommend. I really liked seeing the three sunsets, and the many views of Mt. Rainier. The captain was very knowledgeable about the area. I'd been looking for a trip like this, and this was the only one I found on this side of the sound. Plus, Gig Harbor is a wonderful spot. Do bring warm clothes, because even though it was very comfortable when the sun was out, it got chilly quickly when we were in shadow and as the sun set. They had provisions to keep warm, but we enjoyed staying up top and seeing the sights, so glad we had warm gear.

Gorgeous scenery on this tour. - The light at sunset on the Narrows Bridge and over the mountains was spectacular. Captain Tom is very informative and points out many sights along the shore. He goes out of his way to make it comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic day on the water! - Captain Tom did a fabulous job and was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. While the weather did not look promising at the beginning- it all turned out great as we got to see 3 different sunset views. Got to also see porpoise and seals. Very fun and would highly recommend.

Rainbows and blue skies - Cool little harbor tour, learned a lot of Tacoma/Puget Sound history as well as some fun facts about the surrounding homes and landmarks...pretty much exactly what you'd expect from something like this. It does get windy up top so if you want the best views bring a jacket and a tight fitting hat, but overall a relaxing, informative time. Recommended!

Relaxing Evening Cruising around Gig Harbor - The scenery was outstanding; the cruise director was very knowledgeable and had an excellent enthusiasm for his work; and the boat was big enough to handle the rides and yet small enough to maneuver into areas larger boats would not be able to go.

Great tour at Gig Harbor - Great trip. The captain was knowledgeable of the area. The caption was coming to everybody and the tour took all well over three hours with a lot of surprises which I think was a very good at that price.

Excellent cruise and a great laugh - I loved every moment of the trip. Our captain Tom was amazing with excellent narrations spiced up with humor. Beautiful views, relaxing and breath taking. Majestic views of Mt Ranier, close up view of the Narrows bridge, the birthday cake island,...we even saw seals chilling on the beach.Before the cruise, take time to enjoy the beautiful gig harbor neighborhood with well paved walkways...it's panoramic.
