- Giethoorn - Your private guide will drive you directly to the picturesque village of Giethoorn ( 75min ). The centre of the village is car-free so the only way to get around is by boat or on foot. Your guide will transform himself into your captain and welcome you on board a typical ‘punter’, a small Dutch flat bottomed boat designed to sail in shallow waters for a private one hour tour through Giethoorn. After you’re back on dry land you’ll join your guide for a short walking tour giving you another perspective on this picture perfect little village.

Fantastic day out, awesome guide - We had an excellent trip with Steven. He was extremely informative with an extensive knowledge of Amsterdam and its history. . Giethoorn was incredibly picturesque. The walking tour of the small township of Hasselt was extremely enjoyable.
Being a private tour, Steven was able to answer all our questions and we were able to move at a pace that worked well for our group.
I would highly recommend Steven and his tour. Thank you Steven!

Giethoorn is so charming--just like a day in Storybook Land! - We spent 3 days with Steve on 3 different tours. Each tour was 5 stars, so
Steve is a 15-star guide! He is native born, has an engaging personality and has the knowledge to genuinely provide the experiences you are seeking. He weaves the character of the Dutch culture throughout his tours--a true professional. You will enjoy every minute spent with him. And, as a bonus, his English is superb and his driving impeccable!

The ONLY Way to Experience the Netherlands - Steve is AMAZING! We spent 4 days with him and were able to see and experience sooo much of the Netherlands! He is incredibly knowledgable about absolutely everything. He got us in all the museums we wanted to see, had prepaid transportation cards for us, arranged for a private plate painting session at the Royal Delft factory and more! Just let Steve know what you want to do, and he will find a way to make it happen!
He was so patient with us as well and very easy going. We went off the beaten path and strayed from the itinerary quite a bit, but everything was absolutely seamless. Every little detail was perfect and our trip was so memorable thanks to him. For us, it's the little details that count. He even brought some bread from home so we could feed the ducklings and swans in Giethoorn! Touches like that make Steve and Private Day Tours stand out amongst the rest. That, and the fact we didn't have to worry about anything-his tours are all inclusive, from the museum admissions to the boat rental in Giethoorn. We were treated like royalty and are so thankful for Steve!

Wonderful and unique tour! - Excellent, relaxing tour of the village of Giethoorn, Netherlands with an hour boat tour of the town. Lots of time for lunch and shopping. We had a great time.

Great day trip! - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip with Steve. He was personable, knowledgeable about Netherlands history, culture, food. We learned a lot and loved the canal boat ride in Giethoorn. Charming place! Also enjoyed Haselt where they were having a medieval festival. Overall, a look at towns outside Amsterdam and a great day trip

Great informative day trip - Talking to our guide and driver and learning more about the Netherlands was the highlight of our trip. Taking a canal boat ride through the charming town even though it was pretty chilly that day. Great seeing how people live in Giethoorn and happened on a medieval town festival in Haselt. Definitely worth doing

Tool is to the locations had wonderful conversation along the way. - Private tour with Steve as our guide. Steve is very well versed in the history of Amsterdam this was not a scripted tour for my trip it was an 8 hour history lesson on Amsterdam specializing on the years between 1150 and 1450. To be clear though the beauty of this trip is that it will end up being exactly what you want it to be.
This is worth every penny and more. If you do this tour you will not be disappointed.

2 Fantastic Days with Steve! - On our two week trip the two days with Steve were the best! He was very thoughtful and flexible when arranging the itineraries for each day. He always made sure that we were comfortable and well fed. We enjoyed our conversations learning a lot about the history of the country. He also introduced us to many Dutch foods and traditions. We look forward to our next trip to Amsterdam and more tours with Steve!

The Perfect, Quaint Getaway - My wife Rachel and I had an excellent day visiting Giethoorn and Hasselt with Steve. His knowledge of the Netherlands is expansive and we learned so much during our 8 hours with him. He was very accommodating and friendly as well. If you’re looking to visit a quaint town in the countryside as a contrast to hustle and bustle of Amsterdam I highly recommend booking a day trip with Steve!
