This minibus tour will take you on a scenic drive ‘off-the-beaten-track’ with time to stop and appreciate the tranquil beauty of Bali, enjoying a personalized service for a maximum of 6 people. Your guide will enlighten you on the Balinese farming traditions, and you can get back to nature with short walks into the forest, remote villages and farmland.
Once past busy Denpasar, you start to explore the unspoiled countryside and villages along the back roads. In the fertile volcanic foothills of the Batukaru Mountains you’ll see an abundance of tropical fruit, spices, coffee, vegetables and flowers. For the Balinese cultivation of land is creative art and communal effort and the people of Jatiluwih have created a true masterpiece - an endless and intricate jigsaw of finely-curved rice terrace in brilliant shades of green, with glistering waters so soothing to the eye. Then travelling through thick tropical forest beneath mouth Batukaru you will reach the remote Batukaru temple.

I had the best guide! - This trip was really awesome! The guide (which name I unfortunately can't remember) was so professional and had such great knowledge of the places visited and Bali in general. I got sick on the ride on the way back to the hotel and he was really caring and checking up on me. He even stopped and got me some oil, that should make me feel better. I would definitely recommend this trip.

So worth the visit - what a picturesque place to visit . The temples are amazing with lovely surroundings. I would advise to get there early as it gets very busy at midday. So your photos are of the temples and not of the tourist. Have respect for these temples and others by wearing appropriate clothing.

Mandara (Tour Guide) was... - <p>Mandara (Tour Guide) was knowledgeable but was too serious throughout the trip. Driver was pleasant and the van was clean. Despite the rainy weather- we all enjoyed. Highlight was the stop in shopping area. The restaurant in the Rice Terrace served cold food and it didn't look too clean :(</p>

I was on my own for this trip so it... - <p>I was on my own for this trip so it was a very small group.I went on four trips during my stay in Bali and this was the only won which had a separate guide and driver.The guide was extremely knowledgeable if a little aloof.The temple is well worth seeing.</p>

This tour could have been compressed... - <p>This tour could have been compressed to 5 hours..instead, nearly 2 hours was spent visiting 4 craft houses that were not appealing or part of the advertised tour. Two places would have been sufficient silversmith and batik...nut beware, both are overpriced. As well, the restaurant chosen by the tour operator, while it had a great view of the rice fields, had limited food choices. When we arrived at 1PM, the buffet lunch had too little choices and not much food left on the trays..yet we were still billed Rp 400,000. it would have been better to be brought to a central area and allowed to choose your own place for lunch. Or packed our own. Very disappointed in this one.</p>
