AMAZING!!! - This was the most unique and amazing experience. We were picked up in Ubud and transported to the Taro Village where we were met with our teacher and his mum in his family part of the village. There we learned about the offerings and learned to make one each. We were dressed in traditional sari and shared coffee and a rice biscuit with the family. We learned about customs and family life in the village and the spiritual and religious significance of the ceremonies and customs and the different buildings. From there we walked down into the valley. This was totally unexpected and truly magical. The village during Covid constructed a road down and built a cafe. As you walk down you are surrounded by giant ferns, bamboo and ancient trees - this is the first bit. Then you come to the second part which are a series of stairs and walkways that take you down past more giant ferns, rice paddy terraces and down to the river. It is here where we offered our offerings and said prayers. The final part was a ritualistic cleansing in the crystal clear water with our guide and teacher. I’m so sorry I have forgotten his name. It was truly wonderful and the community are beautiful. Highly recommended to visit here

Amazing morning in a traditional Bali village - The experience from start to finish was excellent we learnt so much about the culture in Bali in one morning it has really helped us to understand what day to day life is like in a traditional village. Take your swimming costume and towel, we didn’t, but wished we had.

From making ceremonial offerings to the process involved with purification ceremony it was all very enlightening and I think we all came away feeling very moved and appreciative with what is involved. The location of the local water temple was simply beautiful and relaxing, would fully recommend this experience.

Best Tour on Bali - This is an amazing way to learn about Balinese culture and the traditional village life that still exists outside the cities and tourist areas. Kedek’s family was so welcoming and helped us learn to make traditional prayer offerings. We also got to experience the water blessing at a sacred point of a local river in a beautiful forest. It was easy to chat with Kedek for questions or ideas at +62 813-3835-1615 via whatsapp.

True Meaning of Travel - This is an ultra special experience that lives the true meaning of travel - to genuinely connect people from different places. Kadek first arrived early to pick us up from our hotel, then drove us to his house within the Taro village to meet his wife, who taught us how to make the local Balinese offerings. They are a cute couple who's fun to be with. Kadek then brought us to a magical forest near his village for a water purification ceremony. Quiet and tranquil, it's nothing like we've ever seen before! He also showed the traditional way to pray and ask for blessings from our heart. Throughout the whole time, Kadek would share with us stories of his daily life and knowledge about Balinese history, religion, and culture. What we didn't expect was him taking on the role of a professional photographer who guided us through poses and captured our wonderful memories. Afterwards we paid a quick visit to Tirta Empul, the holy water temple we originally planned to go - it was way too crowded! we're so glad Kadek has introduced us the much more authentic option earlier. Our last stop was to a coffee plantation. Kadek again brought us to a less busy one with no queue but with good quality. The tour to learn about different plants and coffee tasting was a nice way to wrap up our trip. Overall, we have enjoyed every single moment with Kadek, who showed us the most beautiful and real sides of Bali. After the day, he even took the time to edit a short video for us!! From this experience, I'm happy not only to understand Bali more, but also make a new friend. If you are looking for a unique and non-touristy experience, you won't be disappointed!

great experience - We sat in the main house of the village family and the guide told us about their house history, family, and teach us how to make morning offerring canang sari. Then we walked down to a beautiful valley by the river and give our offerings to God and be thankful. This village is beautiful and people live here. Kids rode bikes in the village alley. There is a restaurant in the valley you can eat great food when overlooking the beautiful valley. Thanks local people for constructing the road and buildings during pandemic so its friendly to visitors. The only recommendation is, with this price here, we hope to spend like 5 hours and involve more about local village daily life like making food or other things.
