If you come to Guyana, you have to do this tour - This was by far the highlight of our Guyana trip. Eon and Jessica were so easy to arrange a tour with, and they communicated so well with us our hotel - where they picked us up. We got a tour of Georgetown, we went to a beautiful fruit market where we didn’t have to worry about petty crime. We tried fresh coconut water, and a variety of fruits that the USA doesn’t grow. Then we went to the puri house and had the best bread and juice. We went to pick water lily pads, before returning to the kitchen where we cooked our delicious meal…I really mean it, this was the best food I’ve had in a lonnnggg time. I can’t wait to cook it when I’m home !!!! Please please do this tour!

Fun, tasty, informative. DO IT! - Absolutely incredible experience! Honestly one of the best tours I've taken in all my travels. It combined history of Guyana, fresh foods, shopping like a local, hospitality of a home, dinner with friends, and an actual singer as a chef! The food was delicious, the company was outstanding, and the overall experience was smashing. I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Georgetown. Jessica and Eon are truly remarkable and wonderful people.

This tour is a must! - This was by far the best thing we did in Guyana. Initially, we planned very little time to stay in Georgetown, however, our plans for the jungle all fell through at the last minute and we had to scramble to find things to do. Communication was very good prior to the tour, and it was easy to message on Whatsapp, and a big thank you to Jess and Eon for taking us last minute! The tour started with a bit of history, a trip to the market, a "snack", and quick trip to the botanic garden before the cooking started. Had such a lovely time, learned a lot about Guyana, and had fun cooking! We were absolutely stuffed by the end- there is so much food. Do not miss this tour, even if you just have a day in Guyana!

The best day activity in Georgetown - Jess and Eon made for the absolutely perfect day. Our time together was more than a cooking lesson; it was a tour through parts of Georgetown we wouldn’t otherwise go, an opportunity to learn about the people of Guyana, and a chance to make new friends. Jess and Eon are reliable, generous, welcoming, flexible, and patient. This is one of the best day tours we’ve ever booked on Viator.

What a treat - Eon and Jess were knowledgeable about the history of Guyana and the curry introduction of the Indian people culture in Guyana. We had no idea how great this tour was for our visit in Guyana. We cut lotus plants, shopped, drinked coconut water, sliced and diced, had yummy eats, and fun singing from a talented chef.

Georgetown 7 Curry Tour - Not to be Missed!!! - This is a not to be missed experience while you're in Georgetown! Upon first meeting, Jessica and Eon instantly felt like old friends showing us around town. They were both super friendly and eager to share their passion for Guyanese history and culture. First stop was a little history lesson on the Indian Immigration at the Merriman's mall. Here, there is a replica of the "SS Whitby" which was the first ship to arrive on Guyana's shores with the first batch of immigrants. Both Eon and Jessica were a wealth of information on this subject and my companion and I just soaked it all up! Next we hit the vibrant Bourda market, where we learned about various local fruits and veggies and gathered the ingredients we would need for our feast. After a quick break for a coconut drink, we picked our fresh lotus leaves and departed for the famous kitchen! And, oh what a magical oasis it was!! We had an absolute blast learning to make 7 curries while enjoying stories, lessons on spices, and finally taking in a musical serenade. We literally felt like we were visiting old friends! Eon and Jessica, I can't thank you enough for the most memorable experience! What an excellent way to start off my trip to Guyana.

Fantastic 7 curry tour - We had a fabulous time learning about the history, culture and food of Guyana. Jessica and Eon are very knowledgeable, warm, funny and hospitable. We absolutely loved the visit to Tony puris shop, stopping for water coconuts and picking lotus leaves. We had fun helping to prepare the food and learned lots about the various spices and vegetables in the recipes. The food was delicious and afterwards we relaxed with songs and entertainment from Eon. This tour was full of amazing experiences, it was definitely a highlight of our trip and I would highly recommended it. We also went on their Taste of Freedom tour which was also outstanding.

Fun experience with 7 curry tour - If you ever plan to visit Guyana, you should never miss the cooking class experience with the Singing Chef Adventure represented by the two amazing couple (Ms. Jessica and Mr. Eon). We had lots of fun and learned about Guyana’s history, culture, and music. The trip started with local market, roti bread makers stops where we interacted with so many local people, tasted and experienced new fruits and vegetables and delicious local roti bread and coconut fresh drinks. The couple are so adorable and you feel their worm and hospitality. Their outdoor kitchen is so cozy and it gives you jungle atmosphere with all available services. The 7 curry cooking session was so informative and we learned a lot of spice mixing and cutting techniques. The food turned to be so yummy and delicious, and we could not stop eating and enjoying the music performance from Chef Eon. We highly recommend Singing Chef Adventure tour and please do not miss it at all.

7 curries on a giant lotus leaf! - This was a full-on day with market visit, collection of lotus leaves, morning snack of dhal puri then meal at the Secret Garden with the Singing Chef, Eon who basically prepares everything, we chop a bit but mainly relax and socialise. The dhal puri served with veg & home made juices were really tasty. Jess & Eon kept us interested & entertained the whole time. A lovely afternoon spent with friends. The 7 curries were dhal, jackfruit, okra, eggplant, spinach-like veg, pumpkin with pawpaw & pineapple served with rice and more dhal puri - scrumptious! We eve had doggie bags in lotus leaves.
