Five into the streets of Penang! - had a great time eating our way through Penang with our amazing guide Law. he took us to several locals-only spots and introduced us to a range of new dishes! he also has a wealth of knowledge about it the history and culture of Penang. a perfect way to round out our trip to this charming city - highly recommend!!!

This should be the very... - This should be the very first thing you do when you arrive in Penang. Our guide, Ms. Poh, was nothing short of exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable, with a fine sense of humor and an eye for the quirky parts of history, culture, and everyday life. She adjusted to our interests, was great at blending food knowledge with social/historical insights, and made the whole experience fun.
The experience felt authentic and not staged for tourists. These were places we would not have gone to on our own. The walking pace was just right.
Ms. Poh is the kind of guide you’d gladly spend another day with, and we would have booked more if our schedule had allowed. Highly recommended!

The best way to taste specialties - Many thanks to our guide Law! Thanks to him, we discovered and tasted dishes that we would never have tried without him, he took us eaten in typical places. The children were delighted too! It’s a great taste experience!

Find out more just by walking! - We met up with Poh, our guide for the afternoon and was delighted to have her all to ourselves. She was a wealth of knowledge and can switch from food, politics, culture and history to sports without missing a beat! What a gem. It was well paced with intermittent architectural walk and fantastic food. Highly recommended!

A good mix of history, culture and local food that I would not normally have explored - I was lucky enough to be a solo guest of my accomplished guide Law, so it felt much more like a three hour conversation about Penang’s history and Law’s perspective as a Penang local, whilst trying a broad and interesting range of local dishes.
Law was very flexible and accommodating, specifically that I’m not a big eater, so he effortlessly pivoted and reconfigured my experience to suit. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and would gladly recommend this experience.

Great local experience with a knowledgeable guide - We really enjoyed this food tour with Mr. Law Hock Chye. He was friendly, passionate, and full of local knowledge. We got to try a wide range of traditional dishes and drinks, learn about Penang’s rich history, and see some of the city’s famous street art. A great way to explore the culture and flavours of Penang!

Highly recommended by two New Zealanders - The food was authentic & flavoursome and hearing how the the food is conected to the history of the country is really interesting. Was a very fun, educational culture and history tour of Georgetown, Penang. Highly recommended tour, James is an experienced and helpful tour guide who speaks fluent English and has a passion for food, history and people. Was a lot of communication before the tour by WhatsApp to find out your food preferences and dietary restrictions.

A great mix of history, food, and culture - James was such a great and considerate tour guide. I lucked out and was able to have a private tour with James. He was very knowledgeable and told me lot of interesting bits of Penang’s history. I got to eat so many delicious dishes that I wouldn’t have tried on my own. It was insanely hot out that day, and James made sure to have us seated in places with fans and he adjusted the tour so we went at a more leisurely pace rather than rushing around from place to place.

Not just a food tour ! - Loved it . And it was not just a food tour but also historical which was great . Pho shared a ton of historical and at architectural informations , which was fantastic .
As for the food tour , we stopped at places I would have never considered , another great point . Showing us how to eat the various items . Loved everything about it
