Food Tour in Penang - Knowledgeable guide. So helpful to be picked up and dropped off and be exposed to foods we would never otherwise have chosen ourselves. Great experience.

Food, history and culture in the streets of Penang - Junie was absolutely amazing. Not only was this a food tour but a history of Penang culture. Driving meant that we were able to cover large distances, Junie is magic at squeezing into tight spaces. I tried about 15 dishes, im vegetarian, and Junie made sure I was well catered for. My favourite was the lady making the pancakes, and the first noodle dish, followed closely by the paper thin Dhosa. If you get hold of the Penang Street food Map, you see many of the dishes. The Clan jetties are super interesting and the fried tofu was to die for. 5 Stars.

Excellent diverse tour by car - Do this tour! Kevin was excellent. An amazing variety of food I would never have tried or found by myself. Visiting places by car means more diversity, way better than walking. A variety of drinks to try too. Kevin is extremely personable and knowledgeable making the tour next level. Highlight of our time in Penang.

Highly recommend. - We are so pleased we decided to do this tour. Our host Kevin was very friendly and knowledgable/passionate about the food and culture within Malaysia. We tasted many new things and explored different areas during the four hours. As others have noted, I recommend going super hungry and you will be eating a lot of delicious food.

Best tour for vegetarians! - Kevin was an excellent host! Not only did he feed us well but we also learned a lot about Penang that you just can’t read in any guide book. On top of that, Kevin went above and beyond to ensure that, as a vegetarian, i could also enjoy the tastes of Penang’s unique cuisine. My husband, who eats everything, started with famous Char Kway Teow. We followed that up with Cendol, a refreshing desert. Next we visited a few stalls near the Clan Jetties, where my husband had Loh Bak (spicy pork sausage) and I tasted a few delicious vegetarian fritters. We really enjoyed getting a local’s perspective on the Jetties and stopping by a market that few tourists venture to. Trying a Malay version of Appam, then soy milk with grass jelly and guava with sour plum sugar were refreshing treats. Next up, Kevin welcomed us into one of the OG vegetarian restaurants, where I got to try vegetarian versions of Laksa and White Curry Mee. We wrapped up the tour in Little India with roti and dosa and an iced chai latte. I was shocked at how much vegetarian food was available in Penang—and Kevin made it a breeze to find! Thank you, Kevin!
