Was definitely well worth it... -
Was definitely well worth it. There's so much history and depth to Penang, I highly recommend this tour. Our guide was a local born and bread who was clearly passionate about Penang. We learnt the history of Penang, about each of it's cultural groups and religions and also got to try the vast array of foodie joints. Definitely recommend doing this tour. Especially since we got to customise it to our pace and interests.

Disappointing - 1. Few "highlights" seen. Listed museum was closed - but okay, that happens. Yes, we saw Little India but over-dosed on Chinese temples. George Town is known for street art but we only drove quickly along Armenian St because we asked. Nothing on the town's renowned street food. Nor the clan jetties, nor anything much of the colonial era. Disappointing itinerary. 2. Our guide Lim was friendly and knowledgeable but unfortuantely his accent in English was so thick that we missed a lot of what he was telling us. English is very widely spoken in Malaysia so we felt we should have had a more comprehensible guide. 3. We paid over USD100 for a private 3-hour tour and considering the heat and humidity we expected a comfortable and cool car. That was not the case: it was a very modest, very small Honda City - and dammit, the AC didn't work! Definitely sub-standard. 4. Viator: what is your response please?
