That we shall never forget those who sacrificed everything for what ever reason they were there. - The Gallipoli visit was like a long overdue pilgrimage for me. The guide was very able to communicate all aspects of the campaign in detail and to place the stories I grew up on into context making the trip well worth the effort to visit. Every Kiwi, especially serving military should visit this place to learn and understand the effort, the courage and the determination of our troops. The Turks have made this place a shrine, very rightly, dedicated to their and our soldiers who equally stood their ground and fought to the end, because this campaign forged Türkiye's future leadership, not least being Mustafa Kamal, Kamal Ataturk. All who fought here should be remembered not just for their courage, but also for the cost of adventurism in the pursuit of political ambition.

Beautiful balance between education and emotion - Our guide allowed us to truly feel the emotions of the experience whilst still allowing us the opportunity to learn details we never knew and covering both sides of each story. I learnt a lot and cried a lot. It was beautiful

I won’t ever forget this day - The drive was long but as an Australian this was a bucket list item for me and well worth the time out of my trip to Istanbul. The tour guide was amazing; friendly, funny but importantly informative. Gallipoli itself will be something that I never forget! If you have the time I would probably suggest doing to two day tour to see Troy as well.

Amazing gallipoli tour - Such an amazing tour of gallipoli. We were very well looked after on the trip there and back. Picked up from our hotel and dropped back off at the end of the day. The tour of anzac cove and lone pine aswell as other significant sites was incredible. Our tour guide Burak was extremely friendly and hugely knowledgeable of the war sites and stories behind the battles that took place. The whole experience was extremely well organized thanks to crowded house tours for looking after us for the day.

A joyful time - It was a joyful time! We visited many important spots like Shrapnel Valley and the war museum. The guide shared interesting facts about the Gallipoli Campaign, making it more than just a regular tour. It was well-organized and perfect for learning about history.

Highly recommend - The Gallipoli day tour from Istanbul was unforgettable. Walking through sites like Lone Pine Cemetery and Shrapnel Valley made the history of World War I feel real. The guide’s stories about the soldiers’ bravery and struggles were deeply moving. The visit to the Kabatepe War Museum added even more depth to the experience, with personal artifacts and detailed exhibits. It was a perfectly paced tour that brought history to life in a powerful way. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the Gallipoli Campaign.

The tour operators, Crowded House, and the guide were professional. - I learnt a lot, and enjoyed the experience. The only downside was the weather, it was too hot. 42 degrees. The operator’s, Crowded House, advised they had a problem receding payment for my booking, because of TripAdvisor’s agents. They never asked me for money, but asked that I pass this on!

Poor communication lead to a disastrous outcome - As directed we were all ready for collection in our hotel lobby at 6 am, by 7.15am still no pick up. Going through Trip Advisor and then third party I had no name or contact only a bar code. Our lovely hotel receptionist eventually found a contact and the company told me the car was in an accident the night before and our tour was cancelled. We were devastated not to mention the money we had out laid for 6 passengers. Fortunately my money was refunded , and our incredible hotel staff found us a private tour for the same day that was significantly cheaper. Advise dear travellers , unless it is absolute peak season do not book via Trip Advisor , there are so many tour companies in Istanbul , they are cheaper and at least you are dealing with a human and have a place of contact should you need to speak with someone. It was almost a disaster , however we did get to go to Gallipoli on the day planned and it was worth every penny.
