Highlights
  • Garni Temple - The pagan temple of Garni was built in the second half of the 1st century by King Trdat III. This is the only pagan temple, which has been preserved on the territory of Armenia. After the adoption of Christianity it became the summer residence of Khosrovadukht, sister of King Trdat III. It was destroyed in 1679 by an earthquake. Parts, fragments of graceful columns and wall stones were spread around the temple. It is supposed that the temple was dedicated to Mithra, the God of the Sun. The temple of Garni is included in UNESCO World Heritage List.

Spend just a little more for 100x value - If you want to actually enjoy the day while learning about Armenia and seeing the sites, go with this tour. After so many "group tours" where we couldn't hear what the guide was saying while being stuck in a crappy bus with no air conditioning and rushed in every site, we decided to spend a bit more for the quality. And gosh, it was such a big difference. First, we were able to select the time we would like to be picked up. Both the driver and the guide who speaks perfect English showed up right on time. The guide, Arev, was so passionate about her job as a tour guide and was equally knowledgeable about Armenia not just the sites we visited but the history, politics, culture and Yerevan. We felt so lucky to have had her as our guide. David, our driver, was also an excellent driver and spoke English as well. We learned that he just got his dentist license after 8.5 years of hard working. Congrats again, David! Four of us had a blast that day. One of our planned sites was not accessible due to road closure and Arev quickly handled it smoothly and professionally by giving us three alternative options we could choose from. The option we chose added three more sites and it added a couple more hours to the trip but we didn't feel either our tour guide or driver was reluctant to go extra hours. We really appreciated Arev and David's professionalism, knowledge and companionship and enjoyed the trip so much. I hope all of you fellow travellers have the similar good luck as we had in your day trips in Yerevan!

Would recommend 100% - It was a wonderful trip with David as our driver and Anna as our guide. Both of them did their best to offer us the best experience possible despite the construction of the road. Anna told us a lot about the history of the places we visited. We also tried freshly baked lavash straight from the tonir.

Best and Affordable Travel Tours in Armenia - The trip went very well, the driver was very courteous but there were minor language barriers. The itinerary is very well planned and did not feel that we were at all forced to finish a certain place, we finished each location relaxed and contented. I would recommend Arman as a good companion. The car was very comfortable for two people.I will always recommend Jan Armenia Tours and Travels.

Our great time in Erevan - My husband and I used the service of Jan Armenia Tours for two days. On the first day, our guide Arev took us around the secret places of Erevan. We spoke a lot and had really great time together. We tried brandy, wine, and of course amazing food! On the second day the driver Tigran took us from the hotel and together with the guide Taguhi we went to a few lovely monasteries, lake Seven, and the surroundings of Erevan. We wish we had more time to see all the amazing places, which the country offers, but we left it for next time because for sure we will come back one day. Thanks for the support, guys!
