Perfect for tight itineraries! - This was a great, comprehensive tour for seeing all of the top sites in a day. Perfect for those with little time in the area. The pickup from the Anaheim hotels was a fabulous part of the tour. I highly recommend this tour for seeing Hollywood/Los Angeles in a day!

Phenomenal tour of LA - Great tour of The Griffith Observatory, Hollywood and LA. Our tour guide, Mike, was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he gave us plenty of time at our stops to really soak in our surroundings. Nothing was rushed! He was so knowledgeable and made the tour even more interesting. All in all 10/10

Excellent Tour of LA - My husband and I recently took our first trip to Disneyland. We decided we’d need a rest day from the parks. I was looking for an LA Tour that left from Anaheim so we wouldn’t have to rent a car and drive in that nerve wracking traffic! I did a lot of research and decided on the Small-Group Hollywood, LA Beaches & Filing Location Tour from Anaheim by AMG Tours & Coach. We had a blast. Albert was our tour guide and he was hilarious. He had so many stories he shared with us during the day. We had 11 people on our tour, and we were next to last to board from our hotel. As someone else commented, the back row has 4 seats as opposed to the 3 seats in the other rows. My husband and I are both 6’ tall and were not very comfortable in the back row. But that wasn’t the fault of the tour. We spent just the right amount of time at each location. It was enough to give you a taste of it and then if you wanted to go back on your own on another day, you could. Was a great way to cover a lot of ground in a limited timeframe. Unfortunately we had 2 different family groups who were chronically late at every stop we made. One even begged to let them stay an additional hour! Thankfully Albert said no to that. But with all the late folks, it put us behind and it ended up taking 90 minutes to get back to our hotels. Again, that wasn’t the fault of the tour. The Farmer’s Market was awesome. We could have spent several hours there. We ate at Phil’s Deli and Grill and it was delicious. Albert was well versed in all things LA! He had so many personal experiences he shared with us and knew something about every place we visited. He pointed out a lot of places where movies or music videos were filmed. Griffith Observatory was beautiful. The Hollywood Walk of Fame was disrupted by them setting up for the premier of the latest Planet of the Apes movie, so we could not see the hand and footprints at the Chinese Theater. But we walked around the mall at the Dolby Theater and saw the Hollywood sign and looked at the Stars. Because of the ‘late folks’ we weren’t able to stop at Rodeo Drive nor Marina Del Ray Harbor, but we did drive by them. Santa Monica Pier was fun. I was able to get down to the beach and dip my hand in the water. Albert showed us some awesome homes in Beverly Hills. It was a fun day and we both enjoyed it. It was nice having a smaller crowd of people. I can’t imagine going with a large bus of 55 people. I’d definitely recommend this tour group. It was exactly what we were looking for.

LA in a day - Albert our guide was superb. He kept us engage through the entire tour and was very knowledgeable about the movie stars and made the tour exciting. You get to see massive LA in a few hours. Our best location was Santa Monica. Highly recommend this tour

Great way to scope out LA - I really enjoyed my tour. It was a good way to see several different places in a day. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable although, he seemed to run out of steam on the return. Even still, he was ever so helpful.

Great tour, very uncomfortable seating experience - Loved this tour but had one big problem. The bus is too small for the amount of people they cram in. We got on the bus and had to sit in the back row which has 4 incredibly small seats. The whole trip was very uncomfortable, I couldn’t even sit back. The tour itself is a lot of fun and has great stops but the seating ruined the experience somewhat as it was so uncomfortable and we dreaded getting back in the bus.

Mediocre tour - Enjoyed the venice beach and Santa monica pier..not really much else.didnt like sitting separate when booked as 2..not even in same isle...expected a small bus that was easier to get in and out..farmers market a poor choice for lunch as was so dirty..didn't like the driver counting his tips as he let each couple off..definitely not the standards of past viator tours I've taken

Regret booking this tour. Sub-par tour guide and hardly saw anything. Stops were missed. Lazy guide. - The customer service before the tour was great as well as the communication by the backoffice staff, so I had very high expectations for a great day. 12 years ago I came to LA and jumped on a 50 seater tour and thought that was bad but this isn't any better despite the 13 person only tour. The size of the group wasn't the issue, but the coverage of sights, the limited time at key sights and the waste of time at sights that didn't need that much time. In addition, we understood the tour guide for the day wasn't someone who worked for the company. Apparently he was doing a friend a favour and worked for another company and was semi-retired so as you can imagine, there was no real incentive for him to do a stellar job. I saw a lot more on my tour in LA 12 years ago. That was the first issue. I felt like we saw such limited amount of sights. We had very little time on Hollywood Boulevarde where the main LA sight is located, it was way too rushed. 45 mins for the Walk of Fame, Dolby Theatre, Grauman's Theatre, photos, shopping, and the Hollywood Sign, how is that possible? It was ridiculous. Then for some reason we spent 50 mins at Santa Monica Pier. Lovely place but how does it make any sense to spend more time there? We didn't even stop at Rodeo Drive to take the Granfranco Ferre photo that Rodeo Drive is famous for. Just drove right down the street. We were told after passing the famous Beverly Hills brown sign that we would see a bigger sign up the road so don't worry about taking the picture. Then it turned out to be a totally different sign and when we asked where we can take that photo again, the guide said that we won't pass it again and we may see it while we drive through the streets to exit the area. He didn't tell us where we would be able to see it as we drove out and totally missed it because the car was driving fast past it. You would think a guide would point it out if he knew you wanted to take a picture. I checked the AMG itinerary with timings on the website and can see that all of our stops were shortened based on the timings given in the itinerary. The guide didn't even stop at Marina del Ray Bay. The itinerary states it would stop there. The guide was Ok, but he had no interest in giving us a great experience. It was clear. From the word go, he told us that he wanted to go home on time and avoid traffic and as such I believe that is why he shortened all the stops and totally skipped the last stop as well as the Rodeo Drive stop. I was told the guides would go beyond and above if we wanted some additional stops but he didn't even bother doing the itinerary that was sold. There wasn't enough assistance to find restrooms and we had to ask whenever we needed them. There was no tips or recommendations at any stop. Some toilets were disgusting like in Venice Beach. We didn't need 30 mins here. It is a disgusting place. I spent 1.5 hrs circling Anaheim at 8am to pick up people. What a waste of time. The tour started in LA at around 10.30am and ended by 4.30pm. So it's a 6 hr tour and lots of driving. You don't get out much. I felt like it was a waste of my day especially with a guide who just wasn't motivated to run a great tour and go beyond and above. He boasted that he didn't need the job and that the company needs him more than he needs them so go figure. Out of my whole trip this was a regretful day and I wish I didn't do it. As this guide was doing the owners a favour for the day and doesn't normally run tours for them I guess it was just bad luck we didn't get the normal guides. Can't speak for how the experience will be like with the normal guides. Bit sad that the owners turned to a semi-retired friend who didn't have much motivation left to run the tour. There was no stake in it for him and there was no incentive to do a great job. Looking forward to having a day on my own tomorrow.
