Additional Information
We will visit the sanctuary of the white-faced capuchin monkeys, the most intelligent species of monkeys in the new world. Our visit will be safe and informative for everyone, from children to adults. We’ll learn about their family organization, alphas, and betas, and how to calculate their age. During these tours people are not allowed to touch the animals, but animals if they feel comfortable allowed to touch people. They are still wild animals and we are not violating their habitat. We don’t allowed to feed them as well. We’ll then see the crocodiles of Rio Grande de Tarcoles and enjoy the local souvenir sale and a buffet-style restaurant. We can choose to admire the crocodiles from the bridge or take a boat tour for an extra $43. The boat tour lasts approximately 1:40 minutes and includes bird watching and a naturalist guide. We’ll then go to a hidden beach in Jaco to see the sloths. We’ll sit on chairs, have a table, and I’ll serve drinks and snacks.

Absolutely did not disappoint!!! - Geriold was a fantastic guide! He had great communication when we had questions beforehand and was right on time to start the day. You could tell how much he truly cared about all the animals and was very informative. The monkeys were an absolute treat and so playful. You could tell that they were happy and curious to meet us. The crocodiles were awesome and “Mike Tyson” the large male was absolutely huge. Lunch was great and Geriold even grabbed us some snacks on the way to the sloths. We were fortunate enough that we got to see 4! We never would have been able to spot them on our own so we were so thankful. Thank you sooo much!!! And if we ever come back we will absolutely book with him again.

A Definite Must on Your Visit to Jaco! - We were pleasantly surprised by how personable and courteous Geirold was from the time he picked us up at our hotel and throughout the whole tour. He was very informative and shared so much history of the culture and area. We had so much fun with the wild monkeys and were amazed at how friendly and curious they were! Geirold allowed us to spend plenty of time with them, and we got some amazing photos and videos! After the monkeys, we went on to see the crocodiles and got to view big Mike Tyson 🐊 at the shore of the river. The tour included a buffet style authentic meal and concluded with searching for sloths near the beach. Geirold made every effort to find two sloths sleeping high up in the trees!
At the end of our trip we booked Geirold to drive us back to San Jose for our flight home and enjoyed talking with him during the long drive. We would definitely recommend Geirold for any future excursions in Costa Rica!

Awesome! - We had such an awesome time! Our guide was very welcoming, nice and polite. It was an amazing experience. We had an 8yo and a 2yo and they both got to feed the wild monkeys and have a great time

Morning full of adventure and animals - We had such an amazing morning getting up close to monkeys, looking at crocodiles and even searching and finding a sloth. Our guide was wonderful and kind and made this one of our favorite experiences in Costa Rica!

A wonderful afternoon in Costa Rica! - Geriold is the perfect tour guide! He is gracious and very responsive in his communication. He also has a wealth of knowledge about and a palpable respect for the local flora and fauna of Costa Rica. Observing capuchin monkeys in their natural habitat was something I’ve wanted to do forever. Not only did we see two different species of moneys, but we also saw a sloth on the beach and several crocodiles. A delicious local lunch, beautiful views, and learning about the local wildlife topped off the most enjoyable afternoon we’ve had so far on our trip. We will be back!

Family fun and great learning experience - This tour was fantastic, all in all a great day with great value. I arranged three excursions with Geirold during my week in Jaco, and all three of them were top notch. Geirold is a very hard working and intelligent person who goes all out to ensure his customers have a great experience. I really appreciated that the monkey village is run with the animals comfort in mind. They are living in basically the same way that they would in the wild.

AMAZING - The day trip was wonderful! It accommodates all ages and most mobility issues. All members in our group raved at how much this experience made their trip. The monkey experience was one of the favorites. Holding their hands and feeding them was AMAZING! Guide was very caring, accommodating, and informative. Definitely recommend
