Diamond Galway - The trip was amazing. The trekking we did was hard but it was worth because the view from Diamond Hill is astonishing. The driver of our coach told us so much about Galway and Ireland’s history that he was better than my professors at university. The only one thing I would change is the time we were given for the tracking. 3 hours seem a bit short.

Stunning! - This was a really great trip! First of all Cathal, our guide and busdriver, was just excellent - informative and humerous. We made a few nice stops on the way. Then the main attraction of the tour: Connemara and Diamond Hill is so much worth it - what a nature and what a view over « the wild Atlantic coast » from up there! If you feel fit go for the top (red marks), it’s a fantastic 360 degrees view from there. if you’re more for a stroll, stick to the blue marked way, the view is nice from there too.

Incredibly scenic. - Trails of varying difficulty, all gorgeous and interesting. Some incredibly beautiful brief scenic stops along the way. Also, we cut a mini course in cutting turf. Very knowledgeable and pleasant guide.

Amazing day and exceptional driver - Amazing day on the roads of Connemara ! Our driver Cathal really made the day : arranging stops at the best locations for photos, telling us about the history of places and of the country, available and so funny as well. The best moments of our week in Ireland!

Fantastic Day in Connemara National Park - Michael was our guide, and he did a fantastic job! He provided the right amount of commentary and humor. During the morning, we had a few photo stops, and we also had a longer stop (about 30 mins) in a small village for coffee and toilets. The afternoon was spent at Connemara National Park, which was beautiful! In the 2.5 hours we were there, my husband and I had just enough time to hike to the summit of Diamond Hill and back down. It was a bit strenuous but well worth it. There are other less aggressive hikes. This was a great tour! In fact, we liked it so much that we booked another tour for the next day.

Great tour guide but not enough time, poorly designed - Macdara our tour guide was wonderful. But I emphasize STRONGLY to the organizers that this tour needs an earlier start so people have enough time to enjoy either Kylemore or Connemara. The only reason this review has four stars is Macdara. He was hilarious and gave intelligent and insightful stories, as well as smart advice. As for the timing of the day, this should have started at at least 9am, or cut out some of the needlessly long and less interesting pit stops. For anyone looking to have enough time to hike Connemara or Kylemore, look elsewhere.

The weather was ridiculous! But I had fun! - It was actually a bit difficult to find the entrance to the park because all the gates were closed and it looks like someone’s driveway. Eventually we found our way in, and the path was marked very well. The weather did not agree with us, and literally experienced sustained wind and rain horizontal. I had made friends with someone on the bus, and he and I hiked. I would not actually suggest doing this alone with that kind of weather. With nice weather, it seems much more achievable, but this was a bit risky. We did make it to the top, which is hard to know because we couldn’t see in front of us. The only certain clue was that we started going down. Despite the weather and the hardship, I thought it was amazing and kind of hilarious, because I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that kind of weather before.

Big Bus Tours are not a good way to get out to nature - I took this tour more as a shuttle to Diamond Hill. During that stop, my group were given 2 hours (another group spent that time at Kylemore Abbey). This wasn't long enough to reach the top and return back to the bus, mainly due to the sheer number of people on the trail. I visited during a Bank Holiday in May, so the time of year might be a factor. Other than that, there's a couple of stops at villages. I would've preferred skipping An Spideal, it wasn't very interesting and the time better spent elsewhere. The driver/guide had the perfect combination of hard facts, funny jokes and even threw in a song. If you are someone like me who prefers smaller group tours in vans, I would stay away from the big tours like these in coaches. There were almost 50 people to wrangle, and while the guide still made a great effort, that is just too many people to satisfy. The amount of constant chatter, singing and general disrespect for those who paid for an actual tour has put me off these big buses. Lally's is a very well managed company, but options for smaller group tours, while more expensive, would still be appreciated.
