Great trip! - This was one of the best trips we’ve done in Europe. Dean was awesome; scenery was gorgeous and the walk was beautiful! Can’t say enough! The small group is especially nice! We also got to meet Ollie (the owner of the company) and he was very nice as well!

Spectacular local tour guides and hike along the Cliffs of Moher - Ollie is an excellent tour guide and tour company owner. He leads very personal, fun trips, and shared many locals tips and history with us. He drove us from Galway to Doolin in his big orange van (guides wear orange sweatshirts too). He was accommodating by stopping for coffee before we took off on our drive, stopping in the Burren for pictures and dropped us off for our respective trips. His company connects you with Aran Island and Cliffs of Moher excursions. I'd highly recommend the Cliffs of Moher hiking trip over a bus trip for people who are moderately active and not afraid of heights. We had pretty rough weather with rain and wind, but the trip was still gorgeous and enjoyable. It's only a 5km easy hike along the cliffs, stopping for pictures and breaks as needed. The trail goes through local farmers land (permitted), and by using a tour guide I was happy to support the local economy and learn a lot along the way. The hike starts in Doolin and ends near the visitor center where you are shuttled back to Doolin. The final section of trail into the visitor center was closed (and may be thru 2025), but it didn't damper the hike in anyway and in fact made it better because there were less tourists on it as it didn't connect to the visitor center area. The cliffs reminded me of the Waimea valley on Big Island Hawaii. Our hiking guide Tommy was a great storyteller, patient, accommodating, and funny. His great insights into the history of Ireland, the area and its people, the famine, and so on, was far richer than anything I'd read. Back in Doolin you then have time to eat and shop, I'd recommend the Ivy Cottage restaurant, with reasonable prices and better food than pubs. I highly recommend Tommy guiding, and Ollie's tours 1000%. Do yourself and favor and get on these tours and off mega tour buses!

Had a great time! Would recommend! :) - We absolutely loved our tour with Dean!! We learned quite a bit and laughed even more. Our tour started with a quick stop at a town just outside Galway and proceeded to the cliffs where we walked along the cliffs (about 4 miles) stopping for many photos and some tales & history along the way. We then had lunch (on our own) at a bar in Doolin. We then drove back to Galway. We (6 ladies - friends from college) had a phenomenal time & would highly recommend! More details - we had lunch at Gus O’Connor’s and it was fantastic (recommend the chicken curry!). There are several cute shops in Doolin you can stop in (if you manage your time right) as well for ice cream and knickknacks and whatnot. The walk along the cliffs is about 4 miles straight out and then you take a taxi back to your starting point in Doolin. Your tour guide arranges the taxi; it is 5 euro per person (it might be cash only?). Your tour guide does the walk with you.

Amazing views, easy hike, and a friendly guide. A beautiful experience overall. - The views were amazing, and the hike was not difficult at all. Our guide, Phillip, was very nice and friendly. One suggestion I would make is to allow some quiet moments during the hike to fully enjoy the sounds of nature—the wind, the sea, and the birds. It would have made the experience even more special.

Awesome views, smooth experience! - Highlight of our trip in Ireland! Smooth and entertaining ride from Galway in the morning, and back to Galway right on time after the hike, thanks to Dean. We did the hike with Tommy, who has a wealth of knowledge of the history of the area, and is a compelling storyteller. Tommy was very good about pointing out any safety issues along the way (these are cliffs after all). You get to see some craaazy views that you'd never see by just going to the visitor's centre. Highly recommended!

You can’t miss this! - I cannot recommend this tour enough. You get such a great view of the cliffs and have a great walk. Most tours are a bus that just plop you at the top; this one gives you a chance to hike along the coastal trail! Our guide, Eleanor, was so personable and lovely. This tour would be great for anyone: couples, families, solo travelers. Ollie drove us from Galway to the cliffs and was so energetic and kind. Worth every penny!!

Book this hike for the best views of the cliffs. - What a fantastic adventure! Clean van, awesome driver Phil. Wonderful funny stories on the drive from Phil and a wise choice for our lunch. Tom, cannot say enough wonderful things about this extremely knowledgeable young man. His storytelling of the area was extremely interesting and accurate. He was very mindful of all the people on the hike to make sure we were safe and gave us the opportunity to see the cliffs from a breath taking area. Book this hike!
