Highlights
  • Galveston Railroad Museum - At its height this railroad station saw over 40,000 people a day on their way to Galveston’s bars, casinos and brothels. An engineer by the name of William Watson would entertain the passing crowds by doing handstands on the cattle guard of the engines. One unfortunate day he SLIPPED and was immediately decapitated. A derby hat was still securely sitting on the head they found A MILE AWAY!
  • The Tremont House - SO many dignitaries, soldiers, politicians and even presidents have checked in… BUT SOME NEVER CHECKED OUT. Crying sobs are heard on the stairwells and in the halls. A Civil War soldier marches up and down the lobby in front of everybody to see. A little boy plays in the hotel rumored to be the ghost of a child run over outside the front of the hotel. One helpful ghost will even unpack for you!
  • Grand 1894 Opera House - Charles F. Coghlan a famous British actor sailed to Galveston to grace the stage of The Grand Opera House. But poor Charles died before the curtain was ever raised. What to do with this distinguished visitor’s body? While waiting for the answer THE GREAT STORM demolished the island and carried Charles coffin out to sea. It floated from Galveston to Prince Albert Sound before it finally made land…ABOUT A MILE FROM WHERE CHARLES WAS GOING TO RETIRE!

Additional Information

There’s been a terrifying spike in mysterious fatalities in Galveston. A disturbingly high number of the island’s loved ones remain unsettled in death. Their spirits still persist, hiding in the darkness, huddled in alleyways, lingering on stairwells, and prowling THE STRAND daily! The antiquated structures from the 1800s on THE STRAND have turned into havens for these spectral entities. Inside them, the spirits are eagerly waiting for your visit.

Embark on our 1.5-hour foot exploration as we delve into the intriguing supernatural activities on the strand, the historic street of terror. Galveston, bearing the scars of hurricanes, warfare, conflagrations, and outbreaks, is steeped in a tumultuous past. The notorious pirate Jean Lafitte transformed the island into a stronghold for outlaws. Galveston harbors more specters than any other city in the U.S.

As we voyage into the night, ethereal silhouettes can be seen drifting past the windows. Shadows materialize unexpectedly while objects shift independently, prompting us to huddle together for shared comfort. We’re ever on guard, as we never know what lurks on the next bend. Be on your toes and brace for chills! Galveston, after all, is nothing more than ‘a beachfront graveyard.’

Excellent Spooky Tour - My wife and I have taken numerous ghost tours throughout Texas and this was one of the best! Our tour guide, Thomas, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable of the area and offered great stories and experiences at each stop. If you have a night in Galveston, I highly recommend the tour and Thomas!

Ghost boy or something else? - While me and my girls were in Galveston for a little get away during Spring Break, we did a second ghost tour with our guide Thomas. He was also very knowledgeable in the History of Galveston. He was fun, down to earth and funny! My girls loved it especially my seven year old. I think she took a fond liking to Thomas because she was right up front following him a long the way a majority of the time…lol. He was very good with her and joked with her along the way! He did a fantastic job, thank you Thomas! We will definitely be back for more. Now, one of the places he took us was the Railroad Museum. Some of the history involved a little boy and his mother that were stuck by a train. As he gave us a few minutes to explore and take some photos, I heard him say…if you take some photos under the train cars, some people have captured some things. So I did exactly that to play with my own curiosity. As I was going through some of my pictures I noticed this: see picture below.

Very Interesting Tour - Annette was amazing. The tour was very interesting in spite of the extreme noise of the strand on a Saturday night. I can’t wait to come again for another tour.

Ghostfacers - My mom and I had a great time, Mike was so informative of all the ghosts and the buildings they inhabit, we ended up being the only 2 for the tour so that made it even more exciting and fun.

A fun night of history and spoojs - My friend and I had an amazing time - we went on off season so we got the added bonus of a very private tour! Our tour guide Annette was very knowledgeable about the history and it was obvious she was proud of her town. The ghost stories were creepy (as they should be) and it was very cool that she had taken photos around town and could show us some of her sightings. Thank you for a very fun night Annette!

Entertaining and Informative - Pirate John was a terrific host! We paused at three separate spots on the tour where we learned about the history of Galveston and the devastating effects of the 1900 storm. Our host was a great storyteller- he paused for distractions, sprinkled in some humor, and loaded his talk with amazing details. We even visited a spot he recommended after the tour for a chance to catch some pictures of ghosties. We passed some other tours along the way, but no one else was being entertained by a fully adorned, crooked walking pirate. Super fun and informative experience.

To many people on the tour - The group had about 40 people and it was for everyone to see and hear the tour guide. The history was nice to learn but just just hard to hear.

We had a history lesson... - We had a history lesson of what we already learned in high school and college and lived. There was nothing scary about it. Wasted $100
