Highlights

Take an adventure with Riverboat Roger guiding you through Mississippi river back waters surrounded by islands teeming with life and full of beautiful tall trees. There is an island with a sandy beach about a mile from the launch site (great place for a picnic). Bring an extra sandwich for your guide for an extra 30 minutes. Islands and trees break the current and winds in this area. Even on windy days the ride is normally smooth and easy.
Many species of birds, fish, turtles, otters, beaver, muskrats, and other wildlife make this place home. Early spring and Fall bring huge flocks of migrating waterfowl. There are several Bald Eagle nests in the area. In late summer acres of lily pads bloom huge beautiful yellow flowers.
Start times are flexible. Generally, we launch at 9:30 or 1 pm but we do not guarantee availability unless you coordinate BEFORE booking.

If you want to take the boats without a guide you can rent them for 3.5 hours for the same price as the tour. Price is the same for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 people. It is a group rate. We use as many boats as necessary to accommodate all passengers. We have one canoe and two kayaks.

Max wt. limits strictly enforced.
Canoe:
Max wt. passengers: 695 lbs.
Max wt. passengers and cargo: 775 lbs. (guide weighs 200 lbs)

We use a weight scale when necessary. We do not bend on safety limits.

Mississippi canoeing at its best. - Roger was super nice even though we ran late. Had a great experience on water and Rogers farm. Made it to the beach and had a nice swim. Make sure to check out his ranch with horses and other animals.
